It was a chilly day so we decided to have a traditional French family Sunday meal. Although the restaurant was about 20 minutes drive from where we were staying we thought it looked like it would be a fun and enjoyable meal. All I can say is that you will not be disappointed if you have a lunch or dinner... More

Imagine a beautiful garden full of the spring scents of violets and vineyards, a sunny 18 degrees we arrived at La Poudette on February18th 2017 for lunch at 1:00 pm to the warm invitation to dine outside if we wished. We were delighted ... .We have been a regular visitor to this, the best restaurant in our region, for five... More

We have been an August evening following the advice of our hotel because we did not find another restaurant in the area. Unfortunate, I do not agree with other reviews and I think that the other guests have over evaluated this place. The “restaurant” is in the garden of a house. Tables, furniture, etc. are mediocre and without style. It... More

Small tables beneath the trees looking out on Indian Lilac bushes, with the vineyards visible beyond the spacious garden - a perfect setting for a summer lunch. The cuisine is light, modern and imaginative. Cold tomato soup with a cloud of chevre cheese and tiny lightly fried cod fritters; stuffed piquillo peppers; hake in a subtle sauce; delicious desserts. Each summer a group of us and children visit for dinner. Without exception the food, wine and service is excellent. Informal courtyard for outdoor dinning, plenty to keep children occupied, local wines will have you wanting to find the vineyard and the food is wonderful both taste and value.

I had the pleasure of staying at la Poudette for several days at the end of July and found it delightful. I was with a friend and we had two lovely bedrooms which led straight into the garden where the hostess Sophie laid out our breakfast every morning, the weather being hot and sunny. I was pleased with the natural... More

We visited La Poudette in mid-July for an evening meal. It was in a lovely setting in the courtyard & the food was good. The restaurant kindly helped to organise taxis in advance which was very much appreciated. I felt the welcome could have been a little more refined & less stern and also that a jug of water &... Excellent from start to finish, as well as amazing wine. A perfect place for a memorable evening with friends, although it can get pricey.

Really good cooking, in a beautifully decorated country restaurant! Great tasting food presented in a sophisticated & modern way. Dinner set menu 3 course €40 & worth it. They also have a pretty garden for summer eating.

Visited twice within one week and were carried away by the charm of the garden where nicely decorated tables are placed almost naturally. You walk past a horse stable when entering and may even get sight of a bunch of impressive chickens while eating. And before I forget: outstanding food ( with a raspberry gratin to die for!) whatever you... More
