Can't recommend El Ancla enough.. we always make a few visits whenever we are there. Food is only superb and the staff are so friendly. If you only go for one meal in Puerto del Carmen you won't be disappointed with El Ancla

A very busy restaurant adjacent to the harbour in the old town of Puerto del Carmen. Very nice food that can be eaten either in or outside dependent on the weather. We visited several times over the last few years and never been disappointed other than not being able to get a table at lunchtimes because of the restaurants popularity.... More

Had dinner here twice during our holiday. The first time was good overall. The food was pretty good (nice steaks) and the service was also satisfactory. The second time was worse. The food wasn't great and the service was average at best. The manager was looking after our table, he seemed more concerned with making smart remarks than listening to... More

Good value food. I had grilled chicken, chips, salad and a bottle of water for less than nine euros. The service was quick. Seats both inside and outside.

A massive thick fillet of steak and you cook it to ur liking on the hot rock.it came with a lovely jacket potatoes and... More

Had a meal here several times during our stay in Carmen. House red wine is decent value and the food is reasonably priced and good quality. The staff are efficient and friendly. The restaurant interior is a bit "tired" but for me that is overridden by the assets of the place. Better than many charging higher prices, including most of... More

Arrived at approx 8pm and downstairs was very busy,we were shown to a table by one member of staff then told by another that the table was reserved, then told we could sit outside, but we declined as it was chilly and breezy, so said we would go elsewhere. A member of staff then said they would open upstairs, which they did... More

Visited for coffee & croissant mid morning. Served instant coffee brusquely, then while still enjoying our coffee she tried to clear the table, succeeding the second time, while still trying to enjoy our elevenses. Unfriendly & rude. Crossing this one off our list.

Really good value breakfast in an area that would normally be more expensive. Based on this will try a main meal one evening next time we are here.
