Local food in friendly environment and for a fair price. We tried the 'Australian burger' and pasta dish. As desert you should try the homemade 'apfelstrudel' 😋 Best buy in town!

Lovely Central gasthof next to the church in town. Park near the police station if you have a car. The host Patrick is a delight. The rooms have had a recent makeover and are clean and charming with a brilliant ensuite in each. Some rooms have access to a balcony. Lovely decor. Only thing missing is a dustbin in the... More

I've had some pork knuckles in my time, but none of them compare to Patrick's Pork Knuckle!!! You must order 24hrs in advance as he has to order it from the butcher. I don't know what he does to it exactly, but it is a life-changing experience! Guaranteed foodgasam! The Gasthof is in a great location in the centre of... More

Had a wonderful evening here on the night of the Hopfgarten Festival. There was a limited menu for the festival but the chef accommodated the two vegetarians in our group with off-menu meals. Friendly waitress with whom we communicated with a combination of broken German and broken English. Fab night, lovely atmosphere, good food and wonderful service.

Our accommodation host recommended this and booked a table for us to try the Pork Knuckle. It was incredible! I recommend planning ahead and booking a table a few days in advance as it gets busy.

Just fantastic! We had an amazing time at Oberbrau. If you have 1 evening you want to go out for dinner in Hopfgarten, then make sure not to miss the pork knuckle at Oberbrau.

My partner and I stayed in hopfgarten for a holiday and we ate he a couple of times and the food was amazing. The pork knuckle was the best I have ever had and has a very personal touch as the chef comes out to your table to cut up and serve to you! Very funny guy as well! The... More

My husband and I recently enjoyed a lovely dinner at this Gasthof's restaurant. The service was friendly and food was really very good. Nice hearty and homely cooking. The Kaiserschmarrn that we shared for dessert was one of the best I'd had in Austria. Located in a beautiful building in the middle of Hopfgarten.

We have been coming to this area for quite some years but hadn't visited Oberbrau. To bad because the schnitzel is the best we had so far. Nice place with friendly and helpful personnel. Some music would help further improve the atmosphere.

This is a f*ng awesome place. It's a paradise if you know how to see behind the scenes. The owner is a real Tyrolean, so friendly and he would only serve you the best and real food he'd eat by himself. Go and see. You won't regret ;)))
