A breath of fresh air from typical hotels, this hotel is located on a hillside with commanding views of Lago di Lecco and the surrounding mountains. The room was clean, large and modern with a large bathroom, two double beds, couches, tables, and a kitchen...area. Angela runs the hotel and restaurant and greets her guests with very friendly open arms. She is just the most friendly hotel owner I've ever run across. Be sure to have dinner at the restaurant Angela runs at the hotel. Drivers be advised, you cannot drive up to the hotel unless you are driving a small 4-wheel drive vehicle. Normally you must call Angela first and arrange a meeting point. She then loads your luggage into her vehicle for the short bone jarring drive to the Agriturismo. It is a bit of a pain but well worth it. I would stay here again.More

It was our second time to visit Angela's place since we first came across it in 2015. Angela is one of the most hospitable and caring people you’ll ever meet, always meeting you with a smile, and making you feel like a member of the...family. Not to mention feasting like a king at dinner with the various dishes served, endless wine, and the beautiful views too! If you’re looking to come just for dinner, then be prepared to park (top of the hill near a church, from memory) and walk 300m up a hill with a pebble footpath (there’s little/no signage or light) until you reach the opening where the tables and chairs are set up... if you’re happy to do this, then it’ll be an experience you won’t forget, and I promise it’s worth it. However, if you stay in the accommodation, then you’ll be given directions to park at the start of a street in a free parking area and Angela will come and pick you up in her car for the drive up the dirt road to her place. The first time we came, we only had dinner. When we returned this year, we stayed in the accommodation. I would highly recommend staying here for a minimum of 2 days! We will definitely be back when we return to Italy, and hope to bring the rest of our family along to share in this amazing experience. Thanks Angela, it was even more special this time around! xxx Lots of love Kylie & Matt Melbourne, AustraliaMore

Staying here is an experience that must be felt ... it’s magnificent! We didn’t want to leave but already stayed 2 more nights more than originally booked! The location is gorgeous and rustic. Angela is the hostess with the mostest. Absolutely nothing is too much...bother. The rooms have everything you need and very comfortable. The dinners and service are out of this world! There is no menu, but you are served seasonal local delights that i don’t think you will get anywhere else. Highly recommend you stay at least 2 nights here! I’ll be back for sure, again and again and I can’t wait. Thank you Angela, Massimo and Pappa, i am still so sad to have leftMore

We stayed at the apartments for a whole week with our son who was 1,5 year at the time. It was a wonderful stay. The room was clean and had what we needed. The view is amazing and you can enjoy both the lake and...the mountains. We ate a good quality meal at the restaurant and had seven courses (!!) with wine for just 28 euros per person. Very good value for the money. Angela was an extremely warm and welcoming host who offered to pick us up from the parking lot every day with our stroller. We’d recommend this place!!More

Wow! I’d thoroughly recommend heading up for a meal here. We did not know what to expect and came as a result of a recommendation from a friend. The food was the best we had in the Como area and it was served in an...unhurried, generous way with lots of great table wine. We had course after course and none disappointed. The service was fantastic, only equalled by the views of the lake. Great for friends, couples and families with kids of all ages!More

Travelling with a group of 8 friends and we stayed here for 2 nights (cycling holiday) The rooms were modern, comfortable and spacious. The breakfasts were generous continental continental style. The dinners with included wines were just awesome. Tastey traditional generous serves. Not the easiest...place to get to but certainly worth the effort. The hostess is just the most welcoming lovely person you could find. If you are around Lake Como certainly consider staying here but you do need to be an active person as the walk up is bit of an effort.More

Staying here on the Agritourism. Third night in a row to eat. First night was filled with locals who come here to sing. Wow. Accordion , guitar, spontaneously singing. Food greAt. Carmailzed onions legendary. Lost count of corses. Wine kept coming. Grappa and amore at...end. Come! Eat!More

You have to park as high as possible in Somana. Then walk uphill towards Santa Maria. It is about 20' walk from the last parking. The food was delicious and totally homemade. Keep in mind that there is a specific menu everyday.

Wow. Just wow. We were dropped off by taxi in the small town below and climbed the stairs (follow the signs towards the Santa Maria church) that opened out to the most beautiful location high above Lake Como. Angela, the lovely host, welcomed us like...long-lost family, and seated us outside at a long wooden table under the trees and proceeded to bring out 6 courses of the most simply-prepared, deliciously tasty food and copious amounts of wine (good thing we came by taxi haha) for one of the most memorable lunches of our three trips to Italy. The afternoon was so relaxed (Angela would have been happy for us to stay for the entire afternoon if we chose, perhaps for a nap haha) and Angela made us feel so looked after and welcome - I gave her the biggest hug. The setting is just stunning (lots of grass for children to run around) and the food was authentic and plentiful. Dreaming of coming back next time - hopefully soon! Email them and book ahead to make sure they're opened. Take a taxi with a driver that knows the area.More

Read my review of the apartments to rent next to restaurant for a full review. Bottom line - our party of carnivores, vegetarians and vegans were all full to the brim and more with the most delicious food possible. And think about it, if you...stay overnight, you won't have to walk down the hill in the dark full of the best food and alcohol!More

Hi! You should consult the web address of "La selvaggia". Abbadia Lariana is not very far from Mandello del Lario. You can find all relevant information about the farm. Best regards, Jgor
