nothing interesting there, and keep in mind that it closes at 4pm, while almost everything else in the area is open all day long.

Yummy egg tarts. Always busy with lots of tourists but worth the wait! The shop is just a short walk from hotel lisboa. Check for the signage as its off the Main Street.

don't be surprised if you find similarities with Lord Stow's; Margaret is his ex and when they parted I guess they "shared" recipes! If you don't have time to go to the original on Coloane Island, Margaret's is a good alternative. The difference between the...More

Love the filling! Very rich and creamy, but I find the pastry too flaky. Don't let the lady serving your tarts spoils your day, I reminded myself not to smile at her the next day when I returned for more tarts!

It is as tasty as Lord Stow tarts. I tried Lord Stow tart at Rua do Chuna shop. For me, I like Lord Stow shell because it is much softer on outter layer. Margerat tart egg custord is much richer. Depends on individual taste bud....More

In Vienna there are two restaurants, which for about 186 years, have claimed that they invented the "Sacher torte" [a variation of the chocolate cake]-- and "chef Sacher" worked at both bakeries.... Macau has their version of this rivalry- revolving around "Portuguese style egg tarts"--...More

Bakery in the Macau city. Traditional Portuguese Nata. A bit of expensive. Still worth to try. The place was located in the street. Not much sitting area. The hygiene needed improvement.

We visited late morning and there was a large queue for all of the time we were here. Don’t let that put you off as the queue moves quickly and the end result is worth it. The custard tarts are warm when you eat them...More

Long queue, after we queued to pay then queued to collect the tarts, all in 40 minutes on Friday afternoon. But worth it, thin & soft pastry with smooth egg paste. One of the best egg tart I have ever tried.
