Did a CD Launch at this venerable mainstay of *old* Macau. With a wonderful bar and lounge on one side and a terrific restaurant on the other, it provided the perfect venue for the launch of our CD "Hong Kong New Music Ensemble—Live from Prague, Vol. 1"

The restuarant was not too crowded. The service was very good. The food was average, and the prices high but ok. I personally did not like the atmosphere, which is oldfashioned, like it was during military presence (like the name says). Anyway interesting building, pretty central.

Very unimpressive. We got here just as the restaurant opened for lunch, probably one of only two tables that had a la carte instead of the buffet and still waited close to 45 mins before the first appetizers came out. Their bread is what I imagine bread in prison meal sets to taste like and the somberness of the server... More

Had lunch here with two friends over the last Sunday in November. Loved the old school charm of the red-themed interiors. Service was generally ok but during lunch on that Sunday the restaurant seemed understaffed. Must-eats: Prawns with garlic for appetizer; Seafood rice for a main; caramelized pineapple with homemade coconut ice cream for dessert.

Booked here for dinner and enjoyed escaping tourists! This mainly has members dining here so advisable to book as not many tables available if you just drop in. Opted for the menu which was good value. Wine reasonably priced too.

Clube Militar exudes Old World charm. The food is decent and not overly expensive despite its prime location and simple-yet-first-rate decor. You can't go wrong with dishes like the bacalhau and duck rice, and don't miss the caldo verde!

We come at around 1:15 pm,however, it only accepts the reservation. So we wait until 1:45 and walk in. (Coz a bit tiered after visiting "Ruínas da Antiga Catedral de São Paulo") As we come at Saturday, they offer lunch buffer and also regular menu. We want to try some signature dishes. And we order fried octopus with rice, and... More

Initially went and tried to do walk in during lunch but they only do members between 11-2. After 2 everyone is welcome. Lunch is hard to get a table, dinner apparently is easy. I went during lunch and ordered a la carte. I had the black pork cheek which was mouth watering. It was so soft and cooked amazing. The... More

It was pretty much as I remembered it but a lot less scruffy. Great Portuguese food, decent prices on the wine. Service is good. If you want a glimpse into Macau how it used to be before it turned into Las Vegas East. A visit is well worth your time.

Its architecture and interior are arguably its best feats. Got some instagram-worthy pics there with some accentuated Portuguese-esque room corners and furnishing. Loved them. Foods are presented ala fine dining but IMHO pretty average. We came there for lunch so probably dinner menu is better. Clube Militar has some member-privileged rooms that restrict photo taking, so please ask first for... More
