It used to be one of the best Restaurants in Macau, I went to La Paloma recently for Brunch and what a disappointment… I don't know what happened, did the chef leave? if that's the case, they must find someone. Despite the tacky and untasteful decor, the venue is unique, beautiful and romantic. What a waste...

We were very pleased with our lunch! The Portuguese roasted vegetables are to die for!! From starter to dessert, we think La Paloma does a great job!

We were there last week for dinner. Atmosphere is really nice and you can experience the old days where Macau is a small quiet place with no casino and crowd travellers around. Junior staff might need further training on how to greet and serve guests. Manager is nice and friendly. The menu has great variety of food, both Spanish and... More

I last ate here and stayed at the attached hotel over 15 years ago. While it has been renovated, things have not changed much, which is good. Earlier this month, I came for lunch and was not disappointed by the service quality of food, view, and the familiar 200+ year old trees in the open areas. The manager chatted with... More

Nice cosy place for dinner in Macau. Orders of food and fine had been repeated until the waitress could understand what we read from the menu. Food is in average. Spinach salad with dry beacon is very good. Barbecue pork is delicious but the duck & beef are a bit too dry. OK if you like restaurant with cosy atmosphere.

Perhaps I went on an "off" night? I visited La Paloma on a Wednesday night and was very disappointed. PROS: -lovely atmosphere a terrace that would be a dream for weddings. The food, however, would be a wedding's worst nightmare. -attentive service CONS: -horrible food -suckling pig was dry and brittle -the rest of the meal was overly salty, lacking... More

The previous reviews pretty well sum up dining at La Paloma. What we loved was the quality of the food which was Spanish rather than Portuguese in origin. The service was excellent and discreet and the atmosphere cool and elegant, as you would expect in a Relais en Chateu premises. I was a little disappointed by the wine list which... More

After a hot, humid, crowded Saturday afternoon in November (!) of sightseeing in tropical Macau, my husband and I wound up around the corner from the A-Ma-temple, on a waterfront street below a hotel with a terrace. We asked outside about getting a beer and were invited up the stairs and into a lovely hotel. Because we weren't dressed for... More

La Paloma restaurant is within the Pousada (hotel) that has been made in the old Sao Tiago Fort. The restaurant is in rooms on the battlements, and has a open air terrace on the battlements. It is accessed by the original fort tunnel entry, which is incredibly picturesque. The fort was built in 1629. The Chef, Hector, prepares traditional Spanish... More
