Found on the last night of our holiday sadly. ☹️
What a lovely ambience and friendly atmosphere. On arrival we were welcomed and sat down in a lovely spot by the fountain . The waiters took time to show us the speciality meats and fishes and it all looked and sounded amazing.
My partner and I opted for the chateaubriand that came with vegetables, new potatoes and three sauces what a great choice. The meat was cooked perfectly and all the accompanying foods complimented the dish so well and it was so nice to have the choice of the three sauces to choose from. The price was very reasonable for the portion sizes and choices that were on offer.
If you’re a steak or fish lover definitely come and visit here our only regret was that we did’t find it sooner.
Staff were so friendly beautiful setting and a great last meal on a wonderful island .

We visited this restaurant after reading the reviews here and we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We ordered the seafood platter (65 Euro) to share and it is worth every penny. Wine was lovely and chilled (a rarity we found when eating out in Kos) and the waiter was fabulous with our fussy 2 year old. Making her a rose out of a napkin made her night.

Even after visiting Sunset Taverna for many years, they haven't stopped serving fresh, well cooked meals. Daily fresh fish and meat is served by friendly waiters, who do all they can to make you feel special. The keftedes, lamb kleftiko, grilled salmon and all filets were very nice as they hopefully show in the pictures. We will keep coming back here.

Mixed opinions about this restaurant. We decided to visit following up the good reviews. I ordered a ribeye steak whilst my boyfriend ordered a gyros plate which he enjoyed however my steak was overdone and very chewy. we always ordered a starter but asked it to come out the same time as our main but instead waited an hour after our starter for the main course. The prices were more pricey then other places but wasn’t too bad. At the beginning the service seemed good but as soon as they took our order we wasn’t checked on at all if everything was okay. The place was very nice and I would try it again but not in a rush and I’m sure they are better places elsewhere :)

This is an absolutely must visit when you are in Kos. This is my favourite restaurant on Kos island because of the amazing food (particularly the steaks) and the amazing service. We visiting 4/8 days when we were there. The steak is some of the best I’ve had in the world and the menu is broad and well priced. The staff are excellent. Very friendly and welcoming and the service is just perfect. I couldn’t recommend it enough. Make sure you get a desert and a cocktails too! It’s all wonderful

Visited this restaurant due to its high reviews on trip advisor. First of all the food was excellent, mousakka and souvlaki were fantastic nothing bad to say in this aspect. However after being seated 3-4 other guests came in following us and were served their food and drinks before us. After finally being served and eating our meals, we had our plates taken away without another word, not even to ask if we wanted dessert or another drink. We waited, thinking they'd come back to us soon, but everyone else was getting served and we were being seemingly ignored. After around 20/25 minutes someone came to us and we requested the bill. Following this we were given a glass of sangria each on the house, which I assume was to make up for the awful service. However, we were not given an apology or even a verbal acknowledgement of their failure.
Honestly the food was great but I dont think they knew we existed for the majority of the time and it put a negative spin on the night. Dont seat customers if you cannot provide adequate service to those already seated.

After booking our table for 6 plus Baby Lewis we arrived to our table set up nicely along with a nice high chair. We were attended to immediately and so we ordered the house white wine which was cold,tasty and reasonably priced. We then ordered a chateaubriand (for 2) kleftiko, BBQ Ribs and 2 Surf and Turfs. Everything arrived in good time, nice and hot and cooked just right for everyone’s requirements. We all had a great night and have decided to book for our last night before flying home. Many Thanks to all at The Sunset Taverna!

The staff was professional, and very kind. They have a great variety of dishes, but their specialty is definitely the various steak fillets and the fish. Upon sitting down, they showed us the wide variety of fresh meats that they can cook for us and they looked delish. We picked the steak fillet for two and it was the best steak I've had in my life!!! It was so tender I couldn't believe it. We were in many restaurants in Kos but this was far the best. The nice scenery, attentive staff, and the most delicious meals make this restaurant the best one on the island. I would recommend it 100%.

Wow what can we say about this restaurant it really was the best meal of my life. The staff were super friendly and they brought the meat and fish out to show us before cooking it. It was cooked to perfection and really cheap for the amazing meal you got. I had looked for 10 days to find a good rose wine and again it was the best, so gutted we only found this amazing restaurant on our last night, will be the first port of call when we return.

My family and I have been here to eat twice, both times the food has been absolutely exceptional and the quality of the of the meat in particular was fantastic! The waiters were very entertaining and made the experience even more enjoyable. We will be coming here for our final meal of the holiday. I personally recommend the stuffed burger with feta or the pork chop, this is what we have had our previous two times here - it was delicious and definitely great value for money!

We were welcomed straight away from the street and pointed out some popular choices from the vast menu on the cabinet outside. Service was excellent from start to finish and being shown some fresh cuts of meat was a winner. All of our meals were fantastic and we already started picking out meals for our next visit. Just a few pics but we all had mixed grill, swordfish, grilled chicken, carbonara and a kids menu meal with banana splits and ice cream specials. At around €20 each for the food, dessert and drink I thought it was great value with high quality food x

5 of us ate at this restaurant on our last night in Kos. The staff were very accommodating and the food was excellent. The restaurant has a nice traditional feel. We had 2 serloin steaks, salmon, 2 kids meals (the kids menu was very welcome) and 10 drinks came to just over 70 euros. Great value for such good quality food. Not an ounce of fat on the steak and cooked to perfection. If you're in Kos it's worth a try.

My partner and I enjoyed a date night here whilst on holiday for a week. We both had the fillet pepper steak cooked medium with chips, which did not disappoint! The service is top quality and the setting itself is cosy, romantic and clean. Thank you for such an enjoyable evening. Would most definitely recommend and return :)!

What can I say about this place
Dropped in on our first night just to test the place out all I can say excellent. Great food and very good service.So much so we went back a few times once to celebrate my birthday what a special night they made it for me , nothing is any trouble.You are made welcome from from the very beginning. The steaks are alway cooked to perfection

This place was handy too, in that it was near our hotel (Leonidas). That aside, we were treated to great service from the start. The lads working there will bring out the steaks before they're cooked to see if you like them. We dined there twice (or was it three times?) and was very pleased on every occasion. Can't wait to go back.
