Lovely food & friendly staff

Had a lovely meal here earlier tonight. Food was a reasonable price and there was a wide range of food to choose from on the menu. All staff members were friendly and polite; making you feel very welcome. I would deffo recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for a reasonably priced meal with great service.

Every mouthful a delight!!

Initially stopped here just for coffee but gave the menu a glance and quickly decided lunch was on! We had the white bread with oregano and oils, hummus and the hot meze platter. Every single mouthful of everything served was delicious! Service was great too. At the end of our meal, we were given a complimentary dessert of chocolate mousse - the quality of the chocolate was fabulous! If you want cheaply priced gyros specials, then this place isn’t for you. If you want delicious food and fair prices, then stop here, enjoy the view and taste some great food.

Wonderful Taverna

We ate here last night. It’s a gorgeous taverna overlooking the sea. We ordered a very drinkable large carafe of medium sweet with a large bottle of water, and hummus, a spicy cheese dip and soft, fluffy pita bread for starters. We both had kleftiko for our main then baklava and icecream. A complimentary ouzo rounded the meal off nicely. The restaurant was full but at no time were we made to feel hurried. The bill came to €61 which I felt was good value.

Dinner at Kos Island

I was passing by with my girlfriend and we got impressed by this restaurant, we also saw the menu and the prices were quite good so we decided to have a dinner. The staff suggested us to have traditional meze. It was very nice, the service the food, the drinks. So after that unique night we visited Koako 3 more times until our final day in Kos. I recommend this place. Also dont forget to ask the flambe saganaki. One of the best restaurants we visited in Kos town.

The best shrimp saganaki

We have returned back after few years and we liked it even more this year. It is nice restaurant with big terrace in flowers. The staff is friendly and ready to assist if needed. My favourite Greek dish is shrimp saganaki so I tried to eat it everywhere where they have it on the menu, so this was obvious choice to order. We also tried keftedes, halloumi and grilled kalamari to share it all. We paired it with local rose wine from Hatziemmanouil. Everything was delicious, but shrimp saganaki was the best, one of the best I have tried, if not the best ever - there was a good portion of shrimps (which is not always the case) and it was slightly spicy (maybe not customary but we were asked if we wanted it that way). This was sooo good that next time we came, each of us ordered shrimp saganaki for herself, we were not willing to share any more :))))

Returned again and again

We’ll, where do we start? This is surely the best Mediterranean restaurant in Kos. We have been to Kos for 40 years and we found Koako last June as we generally didn’t stay in Kos town. The owner Panos, his brother Yiannis, Amr & all at this restaurant make feel so at home and back this up with exceptional food and wine. The service is timed perfectly, we like a rest between courses and this was always catered for even to the point where we were asked exactly when we wanted our next course. Don’t miss the Flambé Sganaki followed by Fillet mignon, what a treat. Try the Petra Organic Syrah with this and you’ll be in heaven. We can’t wait to return next year and we are sure of a warm welcome and more exceptional food. We’ll done to you all. Pete & Sandie

Very, very nice!!

We were recommended this restaurant by a local in Kos town. It is spotlessly clean, fresh and bright with lovely outlook to the sea. We had high expectations and we were not disappointed. The service was exceptional, we were welcomed by all of the staff. The waiters were really helpful and the food was delicious. Prices were very reasonable and we thought it was very good value for an exceptional meal. It is a must visit for lunch or dinner when in Kos town.

Still one of the best

I reviewed this restaurant in 2018 when I said it was one of the best restaurants in Kos Town. Four years later I wondered if it would still live up to that description, I needn't have had any doubts at all, it certainly has. The owner, Panos, makes a point of talking to every guest - old and new - and this makes you feel special. Lots of other restaurants I have visited you don't even see the owner, never mind talk to them. Together with his brother Yanni and a new experienced waiter this year, Amr, they make the ideal team and you will immediately be made to feel welcome. I won't recommend any particular dish on the menu as I am sure that whatever you order you will enjoy - that has been my experience.

Great food, lovely staff, nice ambiance

We ate here on our first evening in Kos and it did not disappoint! We were given good recommendations by the waiters and enjoyed a wonderful starter of Greek meze, a seafood pasta and mixed grill and an amazing traditional Greek cake and signature unique baklava for dessert. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and we really had a great evening here. Would definitely come back again one day when in Kos!

Just do it at some point on your holiday

This place is for all age groups. It's definitely worth a visit whether it's in the day for some lunch or in the evening. The view & the atmosphere is lovely. The food from the starters, mains & desserts is very tasty and nicely presented. The prices are reasonable, especially with the service you get as the staff are very helpful! Me & my friends will be visiting again.

Even in strange (Covid19 times), all the staff still remain upbeat & smiley. The Chefs makes amazing food & one of them even wears sexy chef pants 🤣. Prices are reasonable, the portion sizes are very good. Try to leave space for a dessert or an extra drink. View is great facing the sea. I look forward to visiting here again & again 😋

Simply the best !!!!

This restaurant is quite simply one of the best in Kos. The views over the sea are excellent. The food is absolutely delicious and Panos and all his staff are very helpful and friendly. Koako, according to my wife,serves the best gluten free food anywhere she has been. Therefore anyone who is coeliac can dine here with total confidence. Panos has a good range of gluten free pastas and breads. We will return here on a regular basis. Highly recommended.

Best in Kos town

After 3 times coming to Kos, I would conclude that this is so far the best restaurant in the town.I recommend all sea food - the mussels, the fish, the calamari - all fresh and cooked excellent. There comes a complimentary desert at the end. Great atmosphere near the sea and marina, great service. We would definitely come again!

Amazing

As a solo traveller, it can be difficult to find a restaurant where you feel comfortable. At Koako, it doesn't matter if you are solo, a couple or a big group you will receive the warmest of welcomes from the Koako family. The food is amazing, a beautiful view and a relaxing atmosphere. I'm a regular to this wonderful restaurant and I will keep returning.

Lack of vegetarian, gluten free main courses

Went here as I'd seen there were vegetarian, gluten free options.Once sat down to view the menu, there were mo vegetarian gluten free ain't course options. I decided to have 2 appetisers as a main instead. Although it was nice, it wasn't worth almost 16 Euros for 1 slice of halloumi, with a slice of tomato garnish and a few slices of courgette and aubergine. It is very disappointing that in these times restaurants can't put on choices to suit those of us who have to follow a strict gluten free diet, through no choice of our own.
