Fantastic family ran traditionally Greek restaurant

Thank you Stefanos and family for your fabulous hospitality and deliciously fresh amazing food. The Halloumi salad with pitta, meatballs, shrimps and pork ribs were top notch!! The complimentary Politiko dessert was scrumptious too 😋 We had an amazing evening your selection of wine was great too, amazing sea views and you get a lovely breeze. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend your family taverna to my friends and my clients (I am a travel agent), see you again soon xx

Good food, price and great hospitality

We've eat here for two times during our vacation, first time was great so we made the decision to go back for a second time. The second time was even better. You can have a good laugh with all of the staff and ask them anything about Greece or what ever you like to know. About the food we don't had any complaints, fresh meat and fish for a good reasonable price. When we left we asked the staff were we could buy the best olives and olive oil, we were very surprised they gave us a bottle off oil and a jar with home made olives for free. Nice gesture, well appreciated! We can recommend Olympia for sure!

Best Food in Kos!!!!!!

The best meal we had in Kos hands down. It is the only place we returned to. Authentic Greek cuisine, the owner selects all the fresh fish himself from the market and he really knows what he's talking about. He introduced us to some local fish we had never tried before and it was delicious. All the staff were lovely and could not be more attentive, they truly made our last night in Kos one to remember. The house white wine was very good and the third bottle was very generously on the house. Really cannot recommend enough.

Well , the staff is amazing , nice atmosphere, very good starters . Good wine BUT !! The meat and the seafood was just overage. The meet was not fresh , it’s smells out of date even . Very dry octopus 🐙 I hope the owner would read that and improve the quality of the good 😊 But service was mice and very friendly

Absolutely amazing!!!

We have just returned from our 6th visit to Kos since 2017 and we have been savoring the wonderful dishes at this restaurant since 2018. How good is it? Well, we just spent 7 days in Kos Town and ate 14 amazing meals there (every lunch and every dinner for the entire stay)! Go for the fresh seafood and try the fish that is the catch of the day. If you are not that much into fish, the menu has a great variety and offers tasty Greek foods, freshly prepared, that will please everyone. The owner always makes you feel immensely welcome and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The location is wonderful and relaxing with a beautiful view of the sea. In short: service with a big smile and unforgettable food for which you will always come back....

We stopped by in passing for a spot of late lunch whilst exploring Kos town. We were early in the season so the full menu was not yet available, but owner was extremely friendly (as were all the staff) and recommended the stuffed squid. We had this with some fresh dolmades and a greek salad. All the ingredients were of top quality and were beautifully prepared. The squid in particular was cooked to perfection and stuffed with a delicious filling. The olive oil used for dressing was fresh, aromatic and extremely flavoursome. The owner even gave us a complementary Greek Baklava for desert, which was also delicious. We would not hesitate to return to sample some more of their excellent Greek food. Well worth a visit!

Some of the best food ever

We ate here 5 times in 2 weeks -it could have been more. The portions were for sharing. The food was super fresh and so tasty. The welcome from Stefanos and his family and staff was so warm and friendly. The seaview was wonderful . Every meal was superb, in quality , taste, freshness and cost. There were local people who ate there regularly , because the restaurant is open all year. What a find.

Top quality Greek cuisine and the warmest of welcomes

This is our second holiday in Kos Town and there are certainly no shortage of restaurants, but this is our favourite for Greek traditional dishes and excellent fish. Situated between the harbour and yacht marina it is a little off the central, old town and harbour eateries but is well worth a visit. The staff soon make you feel like regulars, and the fact it is popular with the locals is also a ringing endorsement. It’s a relaxed family restaurant and the food is both delicious and generous. Absolutely top quality Greek cuisine with wonderful staff

Oh my god what a place! The staff, well what can I say just fantastic, Christina went and bought us a map from her own money to show us all the amazing places to go and the service was outstanding. The food was outstanding! Da iawn Christina. Mpampis and stergos top restaurant quality at €81 for a family of 6 l👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼pads of a waxing food beautiful local wine OMG ! We love you !!

Amazing authentic Greek dining experience

Day 6 on the wonderful isle of Kos and we’ve had some terrific meals. However, our visit to Olympia is the stand out. Friendly, knowledgable staff helped us choose grilled dorado fish, beef stifado, the best Greek salad ever and a bottle of local rose wine that was perfect with our food. The Olympia combines excellent fresh home cooked authentic Greek food, with a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere and staff that truly want you to have the best experience in Kos, and together this makes the Olympia a really special place to go. We didn’t get the owners name but we did end up saying hello to his family in Kalamata over face time as the restaurant was closing for the night, thank you for a wonderful evening. I would advise anyone and everyone to visit Olympia at least once during your stay in Kos, an all round amazing dining experience worth our 5 star rating.

Great service & Food

I visited the shop in my vocations at Kos island. It was a pretty nice local shop near the sea. The price range was decent for the location considering the other options near it could be even considered a bargain. Me and my family of 4 for a 2 course meal (main dish & desert) paid a bit over 50€. The waiters were really helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend it to families and couples.

One good one not so good meal.

Often difficult for me to find good food both home and abroad because I don’t eat meat. As usual in Greece waiters were waiting outside the Olympia to entice us in. When I asked what they had in the way of vegetarian food the proprietor was fetched who pointed out a few dishes, all actually starters. Ordered vegetarian saganaki which was like a casserole of tomatoes and cheese plus some courgette fritters. Husband had traditional beef stew. We were asked what bread we’d like and chose garlic bread and, not realising the meat dish came with chips, I asked for a portion to go with my appetisers. Way too much food as it turned out. Sad that we wasted so much. Fritters were wonderful, even my husband enjoyed one. So in the end filling and reasonably tasty for a good price. Sadly, much less happy on our second visit as, unbeknownst to us, the restaurant was closing for the season the next day so several dishes we asked for weren’t available. Ended up with the fritters again - undercooked and not nearly as good as before, plus stuffed mushrooms. All a bit boring. Mixed experience.

The best of the best

I spent an amazing evening with my friends, tempted by the positive recensions. We ate a lot of delicious food, starting with an amazing tzatziki (which we really loved) together with other typical food: every one was mouthwatering. The staff and the owner were really nice and friendly, we really felt at home. The value was also very good. In conclusion: the best culinary experience we had in Kos. 100% suggested!

There are so many things that I want to say! First of all the hospitality is brilliant.Mr Stefanos and his crew are amazing people with lots of joy and love for their work. The place is warm with traditional Greek elements , like the blue and white colours the wooden windows on the top etc. The food is simple delicious. Greek tastes mostly traditional such as fish and meat too. The prices are low for the quality of the food and I suggest this place 100% to go if you visit kos .It’s very near to the port and the old city of Kos that you can easily go by your feet!! Ps: Thank you for everything Mr Stefanos for this experience! See you again next year !!
