If you want a restaurant looking out to sea, then this is not it. It has a rustic feel, even though artificial, and is on the main road. Easy to get to, but perhaps not so good for sitting outside. We visited in the afternoon to take a look at the place and were greeted very warmly and given a... More

We were impressed with the waiters who knew everything about the food. Starters (calamarcitos with baby broad beans)were ok but very fishy flavour. We ordered a bacalao which wasn't brilliant and lamb chops which were ok. We decided on a mandarin sorbet which a previous reviewer had said was lovely. It was in a small plastic pot about 2 inches... More

You don't expect much from the exterior, but once inside you will be amazed. One of the best dry aged beef I have ever eaten. It's not a cheap restaurant, but top level quality. A must visit for meat lovers. Truly amazing

Strange interior, didn't get it. Lots of logs stuck around the walls which made it dark and visually boring. The food was okay, but again not great. My husbands t-bone steak was more fat than meat. Also the setting is on a busy road which obviously doesn't show Altea at its best. Hate leaving negative reviews but it lacked the... More

What an absolute rip-off this restaurant is. Portion sizes were miniscule with no veg/salad or potato offered. Lamb chops were wafer thin. Leg of lamb was good but tiny. Accompanying bread was charged at €2 per slice!!! To top it off the staff were really rude - they tried to take my plate away whilst I was still eating. Not... More
