Went hoping to share tapas but limited tapas menu on sunday (only 3 options) so I had Sunday lunch (beef) while the better half tried a couple of tapas dishes as she really wanted the potted crab. We were there pretty early (before one) and got the last available table. Its quite small and the tables are very close together... More

Called in after visit to fish quay on a Saturday lunchtime. Although we did not have a meal as we had already ate the meals that were being served look very good indeed. The drinks were served by a very nice member of staff and the whole atmosphere inside was extremely friendly.

We live local to this pub and it has such a friendly atmosphere. Great selection of drinks and the food is fantastic. Always cooked fresh - sunday dinners are like home from home! Tapas is beautiful and we love the burgers :) At busy times, they do like you to offer your table to others if you arent eating but... More

Went here for Sunday lunch a few weeks ago and enjoyed a fabulous home cooked meal which should satisfy the fussiest of reviewers. There were four of us in the party and when we arrived the bar was as usual full to brimming. Please do not he put off by the time we ordered our drinks the staff ensured that... More

Average food terrible service. Not offered condiments and main course plates still on table when deserts where brought out. 20 mins after finishing desert plates hadn't been cleared either despite being seen by a member of staff. Would of stayed for more drinks but this put us off.

My partner and I visited this pub/restaurant this week after trying to get in previously. We had heard good reports and were not disappointed. On Wednesday the deal is a bottle of wine and 3 tapas for £19.95. It was great value and we will return. The Moroccan lamb, paella and battered chicken in honey, mustard and soy sauce are... More

Dropped in here twice this week, a lunch and evening meal. Both were very good and the Wednesday offer excellent value. The staff are friendly and obliging with an eye to seeing you enjoy the occasion. Dishes to mention, smoked haddock and cauliflower cheese, chicken in a batter with sesame seeds and honey, and garlic, chilli prawns. We were a... More

We go to the Tap House regularly but finally had to review. Cliff the landlord has this spot on! Amazing food, great service and just the best place. The Tapas produced by Les are just fantastic, he loves food and it shows. Be prepared to wait for a table but Cliff and his team will find you one. It's worth... More

We arrived here after getting the ferry across from South Shields and we noticed this little pleasant bar which is situated 2 bus stops down from the North Shields ferry landing. The number 333 bus got us there. Gentleman that served us was very pleasant and made us feel very welcome. He also let us drop off a couple of... More
