I was looking for somewhere cheap to eat. I ordered a chicken parmo. It came with extra peas which weren't mentioned on the menu. The food was cheap, but edible. This pub has got to be one of the best in North Shields, great atmosphere, friendly staff, good food, variety of ales. It's in good location for both bus and metro. They open early and provide one the best breakfast you,ll get anywhere if your feeling I would recommend the big daddy breakfast.
Have been twice both times my meal was "missed" off the order !!! But not apparent until other meals delivered to table .... humble apologies from staff but no offer of free coffee or anything I work with two adults with learning difficulties so could not walk out as they were eating. Will not go again two chances is enough!!!

we went for sunday lunch and was quite disapointed as it had clearly been precooked from frozen food and microwaved as needed although it was advertised as home cooked.all in all it was ok but i would not recommend to any one
