While visiting St. Albert, (after having lived here for 33 years), my son and I went to an old stand-by, Socrates! And it did not disappoint, even after all these years of being in business. The breakfast menu was varied - lots of great choices, great pricing, awesome portions. AND I noticed the 'senior' selection - since I am now... More

We love Socrates and go often for breakfast (for breakfast, lunch, and dinner). This restaurant has a diner feel and the staff is very friendly. The owner works alongside the staff and you'd never know you were talking to her. The food is amazing. We each have our favorite meal that we order every time and they never disappoint. We've... The salad was made on order and was deliciously fresh. The mushroom soup wasn't the best. Liver and onions are favorite. Nice place for seniors to visit over dining with friends.

This used to be a great place for breakfast or lunch. Not anymore. The food tastes like the cheap frozen foods you buy at the grocery store. Will not be visiting this place again.

Have been there many times. Has had a recent reno. Food & service are always good (not fancy, mind you). Prices are fairly reasonable.

We have been to Socrates before for breakfast which was pretty good but were not impressed with the service. (Weekend breakfasts at Socrates are usually very busy.) We were looking for a good home cooked meal after spending a month on the road and eating a lot of pre-prepared chain restaurant food. We ordered the mushroom soup and pork chops... More

We are seniors and ordered bacon and eggs - be careful on the bacon - they do not fry it as ordered - it is fried ahead of time so it is burnt when served - we asked for soft bacon and no avail - second time, the waitress said so you want us to fry from scratch? - I... More

We normally drive past as the parking lot is always full but we thought we would try to get a table. Not too long of a wait and the breakfast was delicious. The service is great and fast.
