I met a group of friends here yesterday for brunch, none of us had been there since the change of owners and none of us were that impressed. The waitress was really friendly and professional but that's where the good review ends. 3 of us ordered an egg and bacon baguette which arrived at the table quickly, then there was... More

Stopped in here en route to Cowes as we liked the look of outdoor seating. We enjoyed a glass or 2 of wine and a shared plate for two which consisted of prawn, chorizo, calamari, chicken, haloumi, marinated olives & Turkish bread & homemade dips and watched the world go by. Had a nice chat with the owner who was... More

We took the family to the Phillip Island Penguins last week and decided to stop for an early dinner before the visit. We are foodies and really enjoyed the mains. My Parma was a huge (normally they are never big enough) and my wife's salad was great. Kids enjoyed it and played in the games room before we went on... More

Tried to go to Cape Woolamai Tavern for dinner with my wife and some friends, however there were several people smoking at the tavern's outside tables right next to the door. We stood inside for a couple of minutes, but no staff attempted to offer us any service. Cigarette smoke was blowing straight inside to where people were eating, so... More

After wading through the river of piss accumulating in the male bathroom, my family and I wait in line for 15 minutes to order our meals. We are told by the bar staff that "he doesn't like our chances of getting a starter before our mains" and that in contrast to the menu the "seafood tapas doesn't include fish". After... More

The quality of service and food is second rate. The cost is ridiculous for poor quality food and no service.

Excellent family friendly restaurant, that also has plenty of room for functions. Open late and easy walking distance home to the Woolamai area if you happen to have that one glass of wine too many

We originally were looking for a fish and chip place however everything was closed. So we tried the corner Magic Lands Cafe and were pleasantly surprised. The guy working the bar was friendly and the waitress always had a smile on her face. The service was prompt and the food was REALLY good for a cafe. We tried the Beef... More

We stayed near by for a couple of nights and ate here on both of them. The food was amazing. The staff were friendly and couldn't be more helpful. We'll absolutely be back!

Local pub style bar in cape woolamai. Good range of basic food, usual burgers and fish/chips with nasi goreng (great) and paella. Open steak sandwich nice. Over reliant on local wines, but good atmosphere.
