It's been years since I've taken the family to the Bruce for vacation but one time when visiting Tobermory, we spotted The Fish and Chip Place. It was lunchtime so we ordered. I had never seen or tasted whitefish tacos on a menu before so of course I got them. Fish and beer go together like a dream so I... More

Hey you want fresh fish ? I cant think of a better place in the World, after all most are caught from the largest body of fresh water in the World (lake superior) The chips are thin and a bit underdone in my opinion, but the fish is exemplary, as is the coating, the service is friendly, and knowledgable, you... Great place to settle in the late afternoon or early evening after a day of boating or sightseeing. Casual atmosphere with open air dining. You can view part of the Harbour. Sometimes music can be heard being played nearby. As the name says it`s a fish and chips place but you can get fries chicken fingers and other finger foods.... More

I've been here twice over the last two summers. Both times the service was prompt despite them being relatively busy. Both my girlfirend and I were happy that they offered a chiucken option for the taco they do, but its the fich they do well. My sister was tempted to get second when in Toby the year prior!

It was extremely busy every day all season. We waited 15 minutes for a table and another 10 minutes to be able to place our order there were six of us four adults 2 children. Fortunately the staff gave the children crafts to occupy the time. We were lucky to get served at all as it was the busiest day... More

This place was highly recommended by another couple we met in Tobermory, so we thought we would give it a try. Turns out it was a big mistake. It wasn't too full so we picked a table and sat down. After about 15 minutes no one came to our table. It looked like there was only one server for the... More

Our group of 12 had lunch there in early October. It was 80% full after we were seated inside. The patio was closed, and it would have been a fantastic section to dine in the warmer months. We ordered lots of fish and a small amount of chips. Everyone of us said will definitely return to this place in our... More

The fish served here is the Georgian white fish which is something I did not expect. Normally one would have haddock and Cod fish. The fish was fried with the skin intact. The texture of the fish was okay.

The waitress was very friendly and explained they only had "fish bits" so I went with that. The fish had a funny taste, not sure what it was, maybe burnt oil it was cooked in but whatever it was I've never experienced that taste. So I covered it in ketchup and carried on. The chips were greasy. Over priced for... More
