The restaurant is very small and we ate closed to other people but it is very nice and in Bavarian-style. The food is bavarian. A weis beer (or two...or more) and a schnitzel are a must! The service is quite good.

We went to eat there in July. We had a bill of about 51 euros. We wanted to pay with credit card, but they wouldn't let us so we offered maestro. We typed in the code and we saw 'zahlung erfolgt', which I thought meant it was ok. But she said we had to do it again because no ticket... More

We went twice, whist we stayed in Bad Kohlgrub as part as a walking group. We had a limited menu, due to the size of the group, but the food was good, with large portions. All the staff was very friendly and service was very good.

Located adjacent chair lift on edge of town in a traditional alpine chalet which appears to retain all original features. Cosy wood panelled interior and beer garden seating if weather permits. Excellent authentic Bavarian food (‘Mixed Grill’ high recommended) at reasonable prices.

The food is of a very good quality, simple Bavarian perfectly prepared in a very agreeable atmosphere. The service cant be better, the passion of the owner can... More

Located right at the bottom of the mountains this small restaurant offer traditional Bavarian food. We liked everything there from interior of the place to the relaxing and casual atmosphere. The place is definitely well hidden and you will need local map to find it but it worth. Some of the staff speaks English and they have English version of... More

Even though I couldn't read the menu, my husband could (he speaks German, I do not) I got a vegetarian dish of potatoes and mixed veggies topped with a fried egg and it was the best thing I ate on my entire European Trip. (and I'm not even a vegetarian....I just needed a break from sausages and schnitzel (which my... More

We only stopped in for a couple beers but the food and deserts looked great! We sat outside, enjoyed the mountain view, and had a great conversation with a summer resident. Friendly people, good food, great beer - what are you waiting for?
