What a beautiful place, came across it with my tour guide, I would never have known it was there, the panettone is delicious! They are renowned all over the world for their pastries, and they speak English as well. A must to visit if you are coming to this town.

Do not wait to purchase sweets elsewhere as you may not find better ones. Fiasconaro (I made a joke that it could be a 'fiasco' for my figure!) delivers all over Sicily and perhaps other destinations, we saw some of their prodcuts at Palermo airport for example. Their nougat is to die for, they incorporate manna, the natural sweetener from... More

We came upon this pasticceria and gelateria after lunch in town and the offering of treats was extensive. We got some canoli and cookies to take home from the sales person who didn't seem to want to sell to us. It was a put off but the attitude doesn't detract from the quality of the goods. The gelato was also... More

I was in Castelbuono in May and bought some of their pistachio cream "Oro Verde" to bring back home. I didn't try it in the store; it just seemed like it would be good. Last month I finally opened the jar and wow, it is one of the most fabulous things ever! I spread it on English muffins for breakfast,... More

I have yet to have a panettone that rivals the Fiasconaro pistachio - I was put into a delicious metaphysical crisis. The green pistachio cream is called "oro verde" or "green gold" - and for good reason - absolutely delicious. I have been able to find their products in the Toronto, Ontario area and while an expensive product, well worth... More

It deserves its fame, definitely worth the visit to the village. Best panettone ever! Manna cream is a must. As Italian, I give a 10/10 plus to this true institution!

Spend your lunchtime here...the piazza is beautiful and the gelato was the best we had in Sicily. Swap your traditional lunchtime with one that is filled with panettone, gelato and granita.

Make sure you visit Fiasconaro when in Castelbuono. Fantastic pastries, gelato, etc. and a caffe on the opposite side of the square. We bought some excellent jams and olive oil to take home too. Delicious!

What a lovely place to stop for sweets. They serve free cookies, biscuits for tasting. The gelato is excellent, loved the lemon. There was also a small shop that sold sweets gifts, olive oil, wines, and souvenirs. Good service, and a clean atmosphere. Try it.
