Its a great pub. The food is punching well above its weight, and is easily comparable to a great restaurant in town. Our meal was full of flavour. My Chicken Madira had so many layers of flavour and texture, its going to be my next...meal too!!More

Theres a new face in the Village and boy can he cook. We have visited The Six Bells for a few years now and whilst the food has always been good its moved up to another level. I had Scotch Egg to start with a...horseradish cream and sage , beautiful. My partner had Brie and cranberry. For mains it was Salmon on pea puree, fennel and new potatoes. My partner had the lamb with fondant potato. The presentation and the taste was sublime. They have even changed the crockery. So people get booking and support this restaurant as believe me in time its gonna get hard to get in .More

We have been going here for many years and have always been pleased with the food and service. We had heard that a new chef had started and that the menu had changed. Our welcome was friendly and efficient and our drinks arrived without delay....Superficially the menu looked the same as it had for a long time, but closer examination showed some subtle and interesting changes. My squid was different from what I was expecting. Plenty of it , nicely cooked with a good chilli sauce. Prawn cocktails were nice and well presented and felt modern. The terrine was nice, but was covered with rather too much clarified butter. Our lasagne was in individual dishes, garlic bread crispy. The salmon was large and delicious. We were very pleased with our meals and the new chef had given a modern twist to them. Looking forward to returning and working through the menu.More

I highly recommend a visit to this charming village pub. The food was excellent and good value (at least from a London perspective). I understand that they have a newish chef, who seems to be doing a great job. The staff generally could not have...been more helpful, particularly in catering for food intolerances. I would certainly like to visit again when back in South Wales.More

Driving through the lanes in the Vale of Glamorgan we found this little gem. I'm can't praise it enough. Staff were friendly and welcoming, great selection of draught beers, comprehensive and varied menu with unpretentious prices and the meal was home cooked, fresh and very...tasty. The service was great and the bar staff even brought a bowl of for the dog. I was even impressed by the ladies toilets which smelt fresh and clean (a rare find these days), We even thought of looking for a house in the area so that the Six Bells would be our 'local'. Can't fault it!More

Staying in the area and where we were staying wasn’t quite ready, checked trip advisor for nearest place and this came up, great find, very warm and welcoming staff and a lovely fresh homemade lunch all whilst sitting in the very peaceful front garden, service...from Jack was excellent. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.More

Visited for food today with our family and what a beautiful surprise this was. Had never heard of it before but the pub looked beautiful on the website so we thought we'd give it a try. We were welcomed by the owner James who spent...a good 30 mins chatting to us, and our orders were tsken by lively friendly staff, the food was served promptly and was pipping hot, having had food at miller and carter a few weeks previous the food at the six bells was by far the best not only for value but taste and quality also, this will most definitely not be our last visit.More

We found the six bells by taking a wrong turn and we were so glad after. Had food Saturday night which was excellent, staff were very helpful and polite. We decided to book for Sunday lunch and we are so pleased we did, it was...outstanding. Would definitely recommend and will return even if just to travel up.More

Absolutely brilliant, loves the local pud and restaurant. Top quality food and wide selection of drinks. James the owner will always find time to chat to his customers and Jack is a credit to him. Looking forward to our next visit.

Yes, agree with the above response. Unsure of overnight accommodation at the Six Bells Pub. We have stayed at the Hotel near the airport several times when departing Wales.
