This is a traditional Yorkshire pub with lovely local ales from Masham which taste as good as they can anywhere. The bar food is standard pub food but well done with excellent chips which always appeal to my simple needs

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. There wasn't much left on the menu when we arrived late on a Sunday evening, but what we had (pie and scampi) was good.

Just had the most wonderful Sunday lunch at the Bruce Arms Masham. I went with my wife and the dog, the welcom was really warm. The food was not only plentiful, but was delicious. The service was excellent and the drinks to accompany the meal were good. I will certainly be returning

Fantastic location. Second visit to this gem and it did not disappoint. We visited in August with the children. The garden, which is very extensive, was a fabulous distraction and the Sunday lunch was superb. This time we had just a few pints and a lovely pigeon, bacon and black pudding salad to share. Top class. Will definitely come back.

We were in Masham visiting the Black Sheep Brewery and decide on a pub crawl in the evening and this included the Bruce Arms. Great atmosphere with great service and extremely busy, all tables booked for 6, 7 and 8pm. Well conditioned Theakstons Ale that we had to have more than one! We were looking to eat at the Bruce... Recently stayed in self catering accommodation in Masham over the Xmas period and were thrilled to find this little gem of a pub just a minute from our door. Staff warm and welcoming to both visitors and newcomers alike. Excellent meals served on both nights we ate there. Beer excellent and thoroughly recommend the "Black Sheep" ale. Great real fires... Description
The Bruce Arms pub sits to the north side of the historic market square in Masham, North Yorkshire, offering real ales and a selection of spirits, lagers and wines along with homemade food. Our huge beer garden has a spectacular outlook over the River Ure and Lower Wensleydale, that’s why we call the Bruce Arms ‘the pub with a view’!We also have a children’s play area within the beer garden, while parts of it can be hired for free for outdoor events such as music concerts, theatre and dance shows.
