We had cheesy garlic bread and lasagne both of which were good and plentiful. What lets this review down is poor wine at a premium price and indifferent service from the older waiting staff. On the night we went the card machine had broken but we didn't know until we tried to pay. They said they had put a notice... More

We eat at the Y Cwrt twice during out visit to Bela. We had Pizza's on our first visit and two course Italian meals on our second visit. We were delighted with the service and food during both visits. I can highly recommend this restaurant.

After a long day sightseeing in North Wales, we walked through Bala looking for somewhere to eat late on in the night. We noticed this restaurant and it looked very nice, we noticed it was empty for a Saturday night thinking it was closed but it was open. We was unsure about going in as we overheard another couple mention... More

Apart from bad and slow service, the pizza was the worse ever! Even low quality supermarket are better!! Dough was oily and marinara was raw. Just disgusting!! And for the quality of service and food, quite pricey. Around £9.50 each pizza. Just awful!!

This lovely restaurant is well located on the high street. The menu is slightly dominated by pizza, but the food was delicious and delivered in a timely manner by friendly staff. We will return!

Y Cwrt is a converted courthouse. If the judge had donned his black cap you could be sure of a cracking last meal! Pasta and pizza dominate the menu but interesting alternatives. Wine bar atmosphere in deepest Wales

On a quick overnight break to Bala, and on a chilly and very obviously out-of-season Thursday night, when every other restaurant in the town bar one was closed for refurbishment or redecoration, my wife and I went to Y Cwrt for a bit of comfort food...only to find that, despite all the lights being on, the door was very firmly... We visited this restaurant on Saturday 18th March. It certainly looks like a lovely restaurant. The service we received was good although the young male and female waiters looked very busy probably could of done with an extra pair of hands. We ordered a pizza each for main. When the pizzas come out I was instantly disappointed, no authentic Italian... More

What a lovely find! Pizza amazing and fast service at good prices. Stay are lovely and friendly. I would recommend they need more staff on a Saturday night and that three isn't enough. Would go again

Great Italian restaurant in the heart of Bala. Garlic Mushrooms starter are rich and tasty with dough balls to dip, the lasagna whether meat or veg was delicious and all in good sized portions. Excellent pizza what ever the topping. Wine list reasonable and towards the top end for prices. Virtually empty early in the evening but always busy towards... More
