Usually this place is quite good but last night it was quite a disappointment. We were a table of 12 ppl for a friend's birthday. We ordered maltese platter to start off with, and funnilly enough we had to ask twice for the waiter to bring us over some fresh bread and water biscuits, then the main course - that's... More

Del Borgo is the great venue for a person looking to have some fine wine and appreciate the historic architecture of Birgu and Malta. The place itself feels and looks like an old cellar. They have a vast choice of wines, albeit maybe a bit pricey. The staff were friendly enough, although the choice of music (pop club tracks, seriously?!)... More

Romantic wine bar ideal for couples. The food is nothing special and the wine is over priced. The staff are not polite. We enjoyed the fact that our table was out of the way and it was quiet.

Oozes bucketfuls of Birgu....cellar...traditional. Great wine list and plenty to choose from on menu. Slightly off the tourist track but well worth the atmosphere

This place definitely had the feel of THE place to be on a Saturday night! We arrived at 7.30pm not having booked and managed to persuade them that we were happy to sit at the high table with two stools near the bar area. Many people turned up who hadn't booked and who were politely turned away. The wine list... More

Loved this place. What a discovery, hidden away down the backstreets of wonderful Medieval Birgu. Food & wine were superb and the kitchen stays open late which is also a great find. Waiters also very friendly

Have been going to this wine bar for over 6 years and have never been disappointed. The staff is really friendly and helpful when it comes to picking a wine, the food is always fresh and tastes good, the ambiance is brilliant. It is a very quiet restaurant. I love going there at the end of a very long day/week... More

Very good experience at Del Borgo wine bar in Birgu. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, genuine food! Personally I loved Bruschette and Ravioli filled with rabbit meat :) They also have a good choice of wine. I will definitely go again!

This was my second visit to Del Borgo. The dining room is in a series of basements in a 500 plus year old building. Great feeling of intimacy. Excellent food and service
