I have been to Borders several times but only for juice or coffee, we decided to have lunch there, so glad we did😁the salad was perfect and the other choices great, we had fajitas. We will be back. It is not on the main St but go to the Victoria hotel and follow the river to the left.

I stopped with clients here for lunch and we were surprised to see that curry was the specialty of the house and wow it was good, not very spicy but not too mild either just perfect.

Curry with pasta was a first for us but it tasted great. Mild korma like curry sauce with spaghetti was totally unexpected in Nicaragua but a welcome change from rice and beans. We spent a pleasant lunchtime here watching the beautiful birds attracted to the feeding station set up in the yard. A great place to eat, drink and relax... More

Great place to eat in el Castillo, the coffee is really good also ! The juice wasn't really good... Went for breakfast and diner, and the food is of great quality. It is worth the price !

I've heard a bunch of great reviews from other Peace Corps Volunteers about this cafe so we decided to check it out on our trip to El Castillo - the food was delicious! We got the curry pasta, vegetables and curry, and pasta with garlic and spices and I would totally recommend each. The owner of the cafe is awesome... More

Just stayed in El Castillo and was able to eat at Borders Cafe for a couple of meals. I had a cream pasta and a tomato pasta and both were delicious! Friends had the cream curry and everyone left extremely satisfied. If you're lucky, there will also be some cute puppies around when you visit this place. It's kind of... More

Borders is a little hard to find. From the boatlanding go to the left and follow the small road till Victoria hotel. Go left and follw the path along the river. A little futher you find a sign "Borders cafe" . Go right and follow the path and you are there. The food is amazing like the pinapple juice. The... More

Vegetable curry and wonderful coffee. Camille is a character and so gracious and welcoming. We were thrilled to find vegetables in a restaurant and it was prepared perfectly. This place is a little off the beaten track - down the road - and very quiet and clean.

On our second visit to El Castillo our first stop was Borders. As it was early afternoon, it was lunchtime, and we were thirsty from the long boat ride. Yamil welcomed us warmly as is his nature and set to work preparing delicious smoothies and lunches. We went back numerous times. My only regret was going to dinner somewhere else... More
