Go for the great value food and real ale. It is not spectacular inside but adequate. The food, however, is great value, and the staff are friendly. The black pudding stack is very good.

We visited here while staying at lady heyes glamping pods, this was the second Lublin house we've been in our stay. The food is some of the best food I've tasted in a while. My son didn't fancy anything from the children menu but I asked if the chef could cook him pasta in a tomatoe sauce which he said... More

Called a couple of weekends ago. We hadn't booked but they squeezed us in which is appreciated as it was 6:00 on a Saturday evening. Quality food and tasty beers with a good selection of both food and ale,, great service and a warm welcome.

We were a party of 14 and had starters, mains and some deserts. The food all arrived together, was piping hot and generous portions of meat, fish etc, beautifully presented. Staff were well trained and knew the menu and wine list so were able to advise. Some of us had a little space for desert and they were also generous... More

1st time in this old pub but unlikely to be the last. Firstly I must say we were so impressed by a young lady named Laura who served behind the bar, brought our bottle of wine to the table, took our order and cleared and set tables as people left. Always with a smile and so polite she must be... More

Family outing - something for all. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the waitress was very friendly, 'The Landlord' seemed oblivious to us. Not even a goodbye, even though I tried to attract his attention. Would go back for the food though!

We've been here before for lunch on a weekday and it was excellent - this time a group of 5 of us went for Sunday lunch. Great choice of 3 different roast meats, a fish dish and a veg dish - along with the normal menu. Portions were spot on - I had the roast beef, which was perfectly cooked,... More

My wife and I eat here regularly...we are lucky enough so call it our local! The food is always delicious. Good portion sizes, and lots of fresh veg. Great atmosphere and incredibly friendly and helpful staff. If we ever move from Frodsham...we'd like to take the Bull's Head with us!

We love this pub. It has a great friendly staff and serves good food (Sunday roast is excellent) Also serves different beers if you're a connoisseur. However it desperately needs a lick of paint and an update to compete with other pubs. (the Ladies toilets are gross 😝) I think a bit of a refurb would also give it a... More
