Our first visit was at Mothers day, very busy but still more than acceptable. Delay in getting food was way more than acceptable.. Ordered schnapper & chips, I doubt that it was schnapper and tasted like it was prepackaged not fresh. The chips were very nice. My friend ordered savoury mince but could not find the savoury as it was... More

I was really disappointed with the dirty tables. When asked to for a cloth to clean it, the person then cleaned our table with an extremely smelly cloth which left the smell on the table. The atmosphere has changed so much. It used to be a lovely, special place to visit and enjoy a nice meal and browse the shops... More

This is a good little countryside cafe. Average but nice food that is adequately presented. Would return.

This lovely cafe has beautiful views of Mount Pirongia and undulating pastures of cattle peacefully grazing, framed by a border of flowering blue agapanthus in summer. The staff are friendly and helpful and the menu comprehensive and tasty. The attractive gift shop has plenty to offer too. The cafe is closer to Te Awamutu than Hamilton and the drive between... Stopped for lunch and had a Moroccan chicken salad. Could have done with a bit more flavour but fresh and a good size portion. Great service and very pleasant seating and outlook.

We stopped by this cafe for lunch last weekend during a road trip and were pleasantly surprised. We had the seafood chowder, beef burger, moroccan chicken salad, nachos and iced chocolates and they were all very tasty and came in generous portions. It is a nice getaway from the city cafes and has pleasant views of the rural Waikato region.... More

We stopped for Saturday brunch. I had French Toast which was delicious and spectacularly presented. The brioch was best i've had! But was disappointed that there was only 2 rashers of bacon and 1 banana, usually for the price i paid you get 3 or 4 rashers and 2 bananas, in saying that i would happily have it again. My... More

Stopped off for brunch at this cafe just off SH3 between Te Awamutu and Hamilton. Good off road parking is available. Staff are friendly and there is both indoor dining and shaded outdoor tables. Superb rural views abound towards Mount Pirongia. A good selection of both cabinet food and menu options are displayed. I enjoyed my Eggs Benedict with bacon... More
