Two weeks ago was my brother’s birthday and he loves meat so we went to “El amarradero del mico” a very famous roast Meat restaurant, that place is amazing because of the environment you feel a real flatland environment and our family love that. I...think that from now and on that is my favorite restaurant.More

The place is huge and spacious. The waiters are very kind. Food is really tasty and is served almost immediately even if the place is crowded. They are pet friendly which is very important to me. The price range seems OK to me.

Outside of Cumaral, where you can get the best "Carne Llanera", this restaurant has all the others beat in Villavicencio. Though they have a big menu, just about everyone goes here for the "Mamona". You should too. Do not go to this city and not...try this restaurant. You will regret it.More

We went with an open mind considering the type of food and location. The place was very crowded as expected. Too nosy, not clean, service was poor and the food quality not a 4 Star showed by previous reviews. I guess you have to be...local to like it!More

The Food is basically a large Portion of local meat. They frequently offers life shows of the local dance joropo which are a pleasure to see. Prices are adequate and stafff is friendly. Definitifely a recommendable place for a good and large lunge-

This place is a must if are in Villavicencio. Very good quality and an affordable price. Typical beef and pork are amazing (carne a la llanera y cerdo a la llanera). Try the sweet plantain (maduro) and the blood sausage (rellena). Try to get there...as early as possible (11.45 am) the place gets amazingly crowed by locals.More

It's not possible to go to Villavicencio and not trying the local food, which includes traditional dishes as mamona. I had to go to the city several times for about two months, by car, and every day that I went there, my first stop was...at El amarradero del mico (something like The mooring of the monkey). A completely stranger person recommended this place to me, and it worth a try. It's a traditional place, so don't expect nothing fancy; the tables and chairs are rustically made in wood, its an open place so there's no air conditioner, and by noon the city is pretty hot. But don't worry: ask for the traditional mamona or a dish with three types of meat (pork, beef and cow), and you'll be satisfied. To refresh yourself from the heat, order cold aguapanela; you'll enjoy it. This popular place is a must if you go to Villavicencio and want to try traditional food. Enjoy the informal service, receive your candies when pay the bill, and try not to get asleep.More

The food is always excellent. Everything is well prepared and the flavors are pure "llanera". The service is usually very good for the amount of people that this restaurant serves on a typical weekend day. Don't be turned off by the crowd there are usually...seats somewhere and the wait won't disappoint.More
