Food good, beer good, wine excellent and all at excellent prices (especially the hardys wine). Can highly recommend - have been using the constable for 41 years !

Four of us had Sunday lunch and have to say it was really very good I had the chicken dinner and the others had the beef it arrived promptly and hot, good proportions with plenty of gravy will definitely return

Called in without booking and had the best fish and chips I’ve ever had in a pub. Fish so white, fresh and not at all greasy. Will definitely return.

We are a family run pub offering a fantastic selection of HOME MADE/COOKED food, all needs catered for. We have regular entertainment on a Saturday evening. Throughout the week we also have many things happening:- Monday = £1.99 pint ALL DAY on all bitters, Carlsberg & Strongbow Tuesday = Village playgroup 09.15 - 11.15am term time only ALL WELCOME Wednesday = Free Pool & our VERY popular steak night, purchase 2 x 12oz gammon or sirloin steaks with all the trimmings and a bottle of wine for £25 per couple. Thursday = Craft group (alternate) Plus our popular "slimming world" friendly special meals also available Friday = Fish special night, purchase x2 either scampi or fish and chips (which is very large) with the trimmings and a bottle of wine for 2 £20. Saturday = Entertainment from 9pm Sunday = Killer pool at 3pm NB. Full menu is available as well as the specials from Wednesday to Saturday. We also have live band the last friday of every month
