Having read about this place in my inflight magazine, my colleague and I decided we had to try it. Situated in Brae, between our 2 work sites we got the chance to pop in for tea on Thursday night. Unfortunately we were in a rush so we had to order takeaway, but the small cover restaurant was busy enough and... More

Great service, staff friendly. The location is beautiful, get an amazing view from the cafe. Fish was delicious and the batter was perfect. Chips were non- greasy, although I'd have preferred if they were crispier.

Great choice of menu, tasty food but seating area very small some outside seating which would be popular in good weather. Very busy.

February must have been a bad month for this restaurant. We found the young girls behind the counter and serving to be pretty useless. The one in the restaurant managed to ask all the locals if everything was okay yet managed to ignore us completely. Talk about feeling left out. The fish was excellent but the chips were awful so... On 3rd Feb, I walked down from my hotel 15 mins away and ordered fish and chips at 7.28 and a drink which I placed on a spare table. I can be exact because I had a phone call at 7.30 registered on my phone. I took the call outside to be polite and at 7.40 they gave me a... More

Frankie's is really one of the best in the country. I am gluten intolerant which I only found out very recently and I was delighted to find there gluten free batter is every bit as good as the standard version. We make the 50 mile round trip to Frankie's 4 or 5 times a year and it is worth it.... More

Lovely clean, modern building. Friendly and professional staff. A large selection on the menu, and the seafood is always fresh. Always very busy which is an excellent sign, but you may not always get a table. Takeaway is just as good. Gluten free batter available on request. I'd like to see Dairy free options for drinks, perhaps soya or almond... More

I went for a meal and ordered fish cakes. They were really not very nice. I couldn't taste any fish. I didn't complain on this occasion but decided not to order this again. As a local, I sometimes feel like a fish supper on a Friday night. At first, after the chippie opened, I enjoyed their suppers, the fish especially... More

Frankie's was recommended to me by the Staff at Leask Suzuki Lerwick. The staff & food at Frankie's lived up to the expectation. Good hearty portion of excellent fish & chips served with a smile!
