The beer was good and the scenery and decour of the building was well done. The cheese platter from the right side (where you order beer) was basic selection from a cheese experts point of view but is good for a beginner cheese taster as offers three varieties with free bread refills- I really rated that. Barman knowledgable on all... More

This was a great little stop for lunch of ploughmans platter, great cheeses and condiments. Add a beer or other choices and all good. Very casual seating and if it had not been raining it would have been nice to sit under the trees. Nice warm rugs to wrap in when it is really cold, like today! Friendly staff. Great... More

We got some rather decent cheese. At the first visit the service was good, but at the second visit, the service was really bad. The food is a bit overpriced, as one might expect. The cheese is OK, but not the best in Tasmania.

We stopped for a cheese sampling and for $5 you were given the smallest sliver of 4 cheeses they had run out of bread to go with the platter. Both hard cheeses were sweating oil which showed they had been out of the fridge some time. I took mine back and stated my complaint. No offer of refund only an... More

Visited to get a coffee and taste some cheese. We purchased a $5 tasting board which had four very small pieces of cheese on it. Would have expected a bit more for $5! Even though it was busy we ordered some coffees but I can't tell you what they were like as they took so long we asked and got... More

This is a great first stop on the island. Always friendly staff. Have had the ploughmans lunch and home made pizzas each visit. Never disappointed. Great setting in the bushland. Good undercover seating as well as outdoor seating. Seem to always buy lots of things to take away such as the homemade sourdough bread and cheeses.

Best coffee on the island! However, there was a very limited choice for cheese tasting. The one day old (ODO) was available for tasting but not the soft cheese Saint. When one has to spend $19 for 190 gms, it would be nice to taste before buying. Secondly there was not a price list for the available cheese. Even a... More

Stopped in here after our Bruny Island adventure boat ride (which was amazing) feeling cold, hungry and slightly sick!! Ordered a cheese tasting plate-which was $5.....not sure how I feel about that, and bought a beautiful sourdough baguette to eat with it. Delicious They also do beer tastings but I don't drink beer so can't comment Wine choice is limited... More

Wasn't disappointed! Great cheese, good sourdough bread, and the beer wasn't to shabby either! A must do if you're into artisan food

Nice place to try cheeses but on the day it was freezing cold and seating outside only. A tour bus took pride of place outside and was not a pleasant experience to sit in the cold so left disappointed about this venue
