Our family went to this restaurant for dinner in early March 2023. We were there on a Thursday night and there was hardly anyone else there. The drive takes you on some windy, hilly roads that probably would be beautiful during the day, but it...was dark when we went there. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. We plan to return the next time we are in Israel, which will be in the summer and this place should be spectacular. Not that it wasn’t today, but in the summer with longer daylight, we could sit outside and enjoy the winery and the restaurant. Portions were very generous. Desserts were exquisite in presentation and taste.More

We took our nephews from the States for a winery tour and tasting. They had little Jewish background knowledge and the English tour guide did an excellent job of translating everything and presenting the history of the location and the winery. The wines were quite...acceptable although we did not choose the tasting of their high-end varieties. We bought a few bottles, but surprisingly, there was no discount on the cost of the tasting -- something almost every other winery offers. We all had lunch at the restaurant after the wine tour and the food was excellent. I especially enjoyed the beer-battered fish and chips and the others enjoyed their salads and shakshuka. Highly recommend taking your visitors to this site.More

The last time I ate here was quite a few years ago and although the food was good I wasn’t overly impressed. What a change! The entire set up including a large open area overlooking the vineyards was very pleasant and relaxing. A bottle of...very cold water was brought to the table before we could ask and the service excellent. The menu was varied, the dishes creative, presentation beautiful and the portions very generous. My wife ordered the chatzot hayam a fish dish on a laffa bread which although a few too many red peppers for my personal taste - was delicious. I ordered the Halloumi “hamburger” with pistachios and panko and enjoyed it almost as much as a real hamburger. It came with a large order of (not oily) chips (french-fries). My wife’s dish came with a fresh salad, with dressing on the side - which she appreciated. A bottle of cold semi dry Gewürztraminer which although not my favorite white wine went very well with our meal. In short – if you are in the area and even if you are not, this is definitely a place for a relaxing meal. AND the prices were reasonableMore

Delicious restaurant for both breakfast and lunch (certainly not the same day!). Delightful wines, and most interesting tour.

We've been here several times with family and the experience never disappoints. Easy to get to from Jerusalem and Bet Shemesh. Delicious wine and good food at reasonable prices. Brunch, lunch and dinner are served.

We came here towards the end of a day of touring the area and it was the highlight of our day. A deliciously adorable young woman (Meital) gave us a tour of the winery and we were so impressed we bought a case of wine...to give to our friends. The food was delicious, the menu varied, and the servers were as pleasant as the pie we had for dessert.More

This is absolutely NOT in the Palestinian Territories. Tripadvisor, please correct. Delicious food (kosher, dairy), excellent wine, and beautiful surroundings. Be sure to treat yourself to wines that are not exported to the USA. They serve some of the best bread (and spreads) that I've...had anywhere.More

My husband, myself and our 2 daughters visited the winery last week and even though the winery was not in full production mode the tour, explanation and tasting were wonderful. We enjoyed a few of the wines so much we purchased some to enjoy back...home in the States. The restaurant though is worth the trip alone. The food and portion size is incredible. My daughters and I had yummy leftovers for the next day’s lunch, but my husband’s food was so tasty he ate it all and was sad he did not have lunch leftovers. We will definitely visit the restaurant again during our Israel stay and on return visits.More

Every morsel of food was a delicious experience in culinary creativity - pleasing to the eye and unbelievably delicious! We were a group of 35 seated at long handcrafted wood tables in a private room with food served family style. Two types Of Fish ,...multiple salads, ( one with large wide strips of fried sweet potato draping the top ) risotto , veggie sides , wood plates of homemade bread with local seasonings and two spreads, carafes of juice and water and followed with the creamiest coffee flavored cake and cheesecake . I asked for a gluten free bread and was served this cushioned of deliciousness warmed up and ready for the spreads - here in Israel delicious gluten free option exists everwhere even if not on the menu. We tasted three varieties of wine and the entire group was totally in heaven . The walk to the waiting bus was just abuzz with serious compliments . I want them to cater my life !!More

We knew that the Gush Etzion wines are excellent, especially the HaAlon HaBoded (Lone Oak) but did not expect to find a high-end restaurant as well. We had a wonderful wine tour, explaining all about the history of the area and wine production in the...area. Then, we got to enjoy an incredible meal (haloumi salad was a very generous portion, as well as being delicious). There are several wines which very unfortunately you cannot buy in the US (such as the Pinot Noir), so we were able to enjoy those as well. Highly recommended!More

I've been to other wineries, and this is not the largest one of them. It's a boutique winery, cute and family friendly. But it's not just about the wine. Just hearing the story and seeing this establishment in the heart of Gush Etzion is trully...inspiring. Obviously ending the visit with lunch at the dairy restaurant is a nice bonus as well :-)More
