Went to this cafe on Saturday morning before we started our long journey home from Cornwall. Having read other reviews I have to say I agree, the owners need to wake up and make some changes.
I ordered a full English, two bacon baps and a sausage bap. One of the bacon baps was for me but on arrival I realised it was smoked bacon, the menu didn’t state this and I hate smoked bacon. Thankfully hubby happily swapped and I had the sausage bap BUT I was shocked…. One sausage on a small bap. ONE sausage…… ONE. Yes it was big but one?!!!! That must cost pennies to make, that’s some mark up. Not impressed.
When ordering I asked if they did mushrooms …. The young lady serving looked at me and replied ‘mushrooms?’ I said ‘yes, mushrooms?’ She replied …. ‘Like, what for?’ I began to lose the will to live but carried on… ‘ for the sausage bap, could it have mushrooms on?’ She looked around at her colleagues and then replied ‘mushrooms?’ I just gave up… I said ‘forget the mushrooms’. Was I being totally awful asking if mushrooms were available?!!!!
I was going to ask for a poached egg for one of the bacon baps but didn’t bother. I’m glad I didn’t as a few minutes later a lady behind me asked for a poached egg ( the menu states it’s fried or scrambled, no mention of poached) … she was told that they’d ask the chef and then minutes later confirmed that no, she couldn’t have poached egg.
I mean for goodness sake…. Get a chef who can cook poached eggs!!!! It’s not hard!!!
The breakfast, as above, plus two croissant’s and an apple juice cost me over £60. That’s a lot for what we had. What we had was nice but I wouldn’t return, too many other cafes that I could probably get mushrooms and poached eggs!!!!
Agree that staff seem miserable, disinterested and as if they don’t want to be there. Such a shame.

Nice cafe in central Marazion location with good views of the sea.
The prices however are ridiculous.
A simple cheese roll is £8.50. Adding 3 small falafel to an already expensive salad is an additional £3.50. A simple crab roll is £13! It looked really basic.
It does feel as if the owners are trying to extract every last penny out of tourists. London prices on most items!
The staff are also a little abrupt. Appreciate they are busy but a smile can help.
I won't visit again.
Highly recommend avoiding and instead go to the cafe on Mount St. Michael. It's National Trust, with good food at much more reasonable prices.

We stopped here on a very wet Cornish day. I had a crab sandwich on my bucket list and as the aptly named "Craby's" was out of crab we opted for the Chapel Rock Cafe. The menu was more expensive than I wanted to pay however the food was delicious, quantities large and coffee hot. We were not disappointed.

We decided to eat lunch here as they advertised locally made pasties.
Having checked with the young man behind the counter that the cafe is dog- friendly, we placed our order.
After a protracted wait, the pasties were served with a “salad garnish”,this comprised approximately one dessert spoonful of leaves with a French dressing….it was quite tasty.
The pasties were obviously bought in ready cooked, then re-heated when required, this process leads to them becoming dry throughout, both the pastry and filling were overcooked and not very pleasant, add to this the price (£7.95) we did not consider them anything like good value.
Sorry to say this establishment has gone on the list of those to be avoided on future holidays!

£8.50 is a lot for a ham and cheese roll but appreciate it’s a prime tourist location. However, 3 wafer thing 10 pence size pieces of ham and a wafer thing slice of tasteless cheese from a package of slices by the looks of it. 98% of the roll was a horrible coleslaw type thing and a chutney. The owners should be ashamed of themselves

When a crab sandwich at £13 cones on sliced bread, there’s something wrong. I ate here a few years ago and have good memories.
Sadly today was poor. The menu has plenty on it and we opted for the crab on white. Plenty of crab meat does not make up for soggy sliced white bread.
Staff were friendly and service good, though the woodwork on banisters and tables felt sticky to the touch. Maybe this is the proximity of the sea, but it’s a shame.
Could be so much better.

£14.50 for a crab sandwich that was literally crab scarped out of a pot and plonked on a margarine (!!) covered roll. It was so bland, not even a hint of any dressing, salt, pepper, mayonnaise, salad, nothing!!!
They did kindly chuck a quarter of a lemon in the bag, but honestly even that squeezed on didn’t save it from the overpowering sweetness of the margarine. Took one bite and left the rest it was so disappointing, worst, most expensive sandwich ever. Unfortunately we’d bought two so felt totally ripped off

Well, where do I begin… walking into cafe at 4pm we were told we were not able to sit down just take away. So we ordered fish tacos and 2 portions of chips. First of all the rude teenager who took our order overcharged us by £4.50, after we got a refund off another moody spotty teen who wouldn’t make eye contact we waited for over 20 mins for our food to be cooked. Finally after complaining saying we wanted a refund, we were told we can’t have it, and to wait. We got our food. 2 portions of chips that were hot but not cooked in the middle, and fish and chips, not fish tacos! The staff behaved disgustingly. Argued that we could not have a refund, stood in a gang and were all arguing that we still need to pay the overpriced tariffs for food that wasn’t cooked and not what we wanted. Who ever is employing these rude oikes for front of house for your establishment you obviously don’t train them in food hygiene (as teen had her fingers in the chips arguing they were cooked and we should still pay for them) and you take no pride in customer service. I suggest you employ adults and teach basic food hygiene

We called here on our way to the castle. I got a drink and a ham and cheese sandwich. My daughter got a drink and a sausage sandwich. There was only one sausage inside the bap ( loads of bread with one small sausage cut into two.) we went back inside to ask if this was correct as it was £5.50 they said yes you only get one sausage they are good quality tho. This cost me £18.45 for two sandwiches and two drinks. I think this is a ridiculous amount for what we got. We won't be going back again. They didn't seem bothered and not very friendly either.

Queued for our table with high hopes as it was busy…utterly disappointed after receiving our food and drinks.
Milkshakes were not real. The menu said they used Moomaid ice cream, but they tasted like milk and syrup.
Sandwich had minimal fillings, but at least it didn’t come in sliced bread as other reviewers have written.
Crab loaded fries were nothing special, and the toppings tasted pre-made.
For the price of the meal I expected more. Will not be returning as a local.

Whilst holidaying in Lands End this past week, my wife & I visited the Chapel Rock in the afternoon of the 3rd September and dined upstairs, both enjoying a very tasty portion of fish & chips. Service was also very good and we were prepared to recommend to friends.
However we returned again on the 6th at 4pm and asked for a table for two if available upstairs again. The young man told us that the upstairs was closed with no explanation so we asked if a table downstairs was available which looked like there was but was told that there was not for the moment and they would stop serving indoors shortly. Subsequently he told us that they would only be offering take away service. Baring in mind they didn't close until 6pm I was surprised to hear this but as it was a nice afternoon we accepted a take out meal. We were not impressed with the young man's manner and for not providing an explanation for not accepting further customers at such a time during the afternoon. Hence, based on the two visits this is why I have given an average score and not a very good score as would of been the case based on the first visit.

I don’t normally write negative reviews but feel I have to on this occasion. We ordered 4 lattes & 4 pieces of cake at a cost of £24. We were not on holiday but decided on a treat. Bearing in mind I work as a barista, I was not happy that we had to send our coffees back 3 times because they were luke warm. Even when they came back the 3rd time they were the same so we gave up, drank & left. I was told they couldn’t do them any hotter because it would burn the milk!!
I always steam the milk until it nearly boils over to make it hot & have never had a customer complain.
I just felt when paying for a hot drink when out & about you should get what you ask & pay for. Won’t be returning.

Attended the cafe and purchased a flat white, cup of tea, hot chocolate along with a piece of caramel shortbread and a cheese pasty (£19)
Firstly I couldn’t work out how that had come to £19 but was then approached by a member of staff who told me I owed another £2 for sitting in and that they had forgot to charge me. I was asked to pay on the way out. (£21)
The pasty had been placed in the microwave and heated up and the flat white was luke warm!!! I live local and will definitely not be returning.

Upon popping in today to buy a crab sandwich which I really fancied eating I was met with really unfriendly staff whom seemed like they didn’t want to be there. Im surprised with their demeanour as everyone we have engaged with in Cornwall have been wonderfully welcoming. I should have walked out at this point but I guess hunger got the upper hand. The cost of the sandwich did not reflect in the quality as I found shell in it and it lacked seasoning and I would have expected at least an salad accompaniment inside it. I’m really not one to give a bad review but feel that I could not recommend this place to anyone and wouldn’t want anyone else to waste their time or part with their money. Especially when there are so many other places to eat in the area that are divine.

We walked from Perranuthnoe to Marazion and intended to have breakfast when we got there. Our usual pit stop is no longer there so we tried this cafe. We ordered a sausage baps (£4.95 each) and added a hash brown for an extra £1.00 (thought we'd be good rather than a full breakfast £9.95). We waited and waited finished our drinks way before they came. Eventually we got our food. A small brioche burger bun with a small sausage cut in half, half filled the small bun with a hash brown looked fried. Never been so disappointed. We don't mind paying for good food but this was just a rip off. We left feeling hungry. We had a food van a few years ago and i would never have contemplated giving our customers anything less than good value for money food.
