Myself and two friends went to this cafe Saturday morning, very slow service with only 2 other people in the cafe. Waiter took 15 minutes to order the drinks, instead having our backs to us doing the washing up. It then took another 10 minutes...to receive the drinks.
Now onto the food - I ordered a bacon sandwich and asked for ‘double bacon’ which took 20 minutes. I had to ask them to put it in a takeaway box in the end due to the slow service as I had somewhere to be.
Once I opened the box to eat my sandwich their were 2 very small rashers of bacon. So I received half a portion of bacon rather than the double portion I clearly started. My friend also ordered a chicken ceaser salad had clearly stated no cheese as he’s allergic. When he opened his takeaway box, cheese was sprinkled all over it!
I’m not normally one to write reviews but as someone who has visited many times in the past I feel very let down by this cafe. To be fair it was my first time in a year and I didn’t recognise the new staff so maybe it’s now ran by new owners. I wasn’t happy with the slow service, the ignored service and then finally the wrong orders.
It’s a shame as it was somewhere I used to visit once a week. Won’t be visiting again howeverMore
I booked Urban Fuse to celebrate my wife's birthday with 25 or so people.
The staff were as ever superb and they really looked after us on the evening making cocktails, serving drinks and providing some great sharing boards of food for everyone.
Vilson and...his team really looked after us on the night and we had a great time.
A wide range of wines, beers and lagers
Lovely food freshly prepared
A warm welcome
Genuine friendly service
During the day Urban Fuse is a superb cafe too offering a great range of savoury and sweet treats. The homemade cakes and cookies are so good as well.More
Friendly little hidden hen of a cafe that’s also open for evening cocktails- I’ve been for both. Food is great, from eggs benedic to home-made cakes.. and delicious cocktails. Very accommodating. Need to book a table for evenings as it’s only small.
We have lived in Purley over 15 years and decided to go out for breakfast as we had a friends daughter staying. Wow!! This is such a cosy friendly place with a great atmosphere and excellent food. I had poached eggs on toast and our...guest had pancakes with Nutella. The food was fantastic and we will definitely come here again!More

I think you get some free parking along the main road if not you have to pay for parking down the road where the cafe is. There is a lidls at the roundabout but I'm not sure of their parking rules. Hope this helps
