We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at this beautiful place. It wasn't the cheapest venue, but we shared a platter between three which was more than enough, in fact we couldn't finish it. The wine was lovely and the setting, absolutely brilliant.

It is an hour drive from Queenstown. I come here for lunch and wine tasting. The vineyard has beautiful scenery and the food is good. Worthwhile the driving, you can also buy some fruits along the route the Queenstown.

Carrick Winery is a bit off the beaten track but well worth the visit. It was busy on the day we went a Friday lunch so it must be well known.

From the moment we walked in with no booking we were made to feel welcome by Sol and Jan ....amazing hosts for our whole dining experience. Three chose the $56 platter and oh my goodness they all said it was amazing smoked fish, beautiful cheese, stuffed peppers a mussel dip, warm mussels in the shell, divine breads, corn and coriander... My husband and I went to the restaurant to commemorate his birthday. We started our lunch off at the cellar door with a quick wine tasting to help us select a bottle for lunch. The cellar door lady was very helpful also suggested we look at the menu in tandem with the tasting to ensure we choose the right wine... More

I have been what I'd call a frequent flier to Carrick as favourite spot as a local to take family and friends for a treat. The food and service has always been the best and not a single complaint. Only people stunned they have never stumbled upon this wee gem of a place before. Carrick wine is one of my... More
