We were staying on the edge of town for an overnight stay whilst returning from a trip to Sweden with our caravan. We walked into this lovely town early evening when all the shops were closed. Fortunately, a few restaurants were open and Cafe Victoria seemed to offer the best vegetarian choice for us. Ambiance and service were excellent as... More

Traditional everyday Danish restaurant with a relaxed and inviting atmosphere on prime location on the main shopping street in Tønder. The Stjerneskud ("shooting star" — a traditional Danish fish dish) was wonderful and the menu prices are generally very affordable. In the summer there are also outside tables available. We've been there twice and would not hesitate going there again.

We had a Shooting Star here. It was delicious. It's a Danish open sandwich with fish. Yummy. The organic beer was good along with the food.

Mediocre food in a not very charming setting. Considering the other options in the area, it is a quite good bet. Prices are compared to other places in Denmark quite reasonable.

The atmosphere is nice, most of the dishes are pretty good, prices are okay, self service. Big portions.

I have visited this restaurant several times and always got well done dishes with enough food for a grown up person and they have good tasting beer and fine wine too. One thing you must know is that you have to go to the bar to order your food.

It's a cafe-style restaurant, with many drinks, and a not so long menu of actual dishes. The place is fairly large, with room for many visitors, but has a cosy feel to it. It's possible to eat outside as well, in the nice pedestrian-only street. We had burgers, mexican and chicken variants. Both tasted great, and were delivered after approx... More

Spend a day on Sylt and decided to cross the border into Denmark and visit Tonder and Cafe Victoria. Situated on the main street in Tonder, this is a very pleasant cafe/restaurant. It was a Sunday evening and the place was nearly full which is a good indication as the town itself was dead. Had the burgers and boy, you... More

It was just a Tuesday night, but the cafe, facing the walking street, was already full. A good sign I thought and asked for a table for two. Luckily, the cafe has a restaurant at the back where we were seated. The menu is printed like a newspaper/magazine on old brown paper, which was a fitting touch to the nice... More
