My family and I had Sunday lunch here yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff were friendly and efficient and food was fantastic, I had the hake in saffron sauce and the rest of my party had the roast pork....good quantities and delicious as too were the puddings. We will definitely return when next in the area

We were told this was a good restaurant and saved it for the last day of our holiday. We weren't disappointed when we both choose steak from the specials board. The architecture of the building is very pleasing and makes for a lovely atmosphere especially in the conservatory. The welcome we received from the lady behind the bar was excellent... More

We decided on a last mnute drop in for sunday roast. Clearly best to book, however we were fitted in around 1320. We went for 2 large beef roasts and what a treat! Huge amounts of the tenderest beef, that rare of rare beasts - a dumpling!, 'Al Dente' vegetables, fab roast pots and delicious gravy and horse radish sauce.... More

Arrived late just after 2pm the place was very busy. They said we could have something quick as the kitchen had closed. The setting is delightful sitting in conservatory with views across the lake. Well kept bitter.

Very tasty food. Portion sizes are large so don't over stretch yourself like I did. Locally sourced steak was delicious and prawns to start were lovely. I really didn't need biscuits and cheese so couldn't finish it. Excellent valu for money.

The Rydon Inn is a converted traditional Devon Long House, it has been beautifully developed, with high vaulted ceilings exposing all the beam work in the main pub area, this also includes an unconventional thatched bar. The idealiac conservatory eating area over looks our large landscaped gardens and peaceful lake which houses outdoor seating for those long summer evenings. There is a pool table to keep you and the kids entertained. If you would like something a little more private we have our restaurant in the original part of the Devon Long House, which is ideal for more secluded smaller group meetings or dinners.
