Had good meals here in the past, however each time we visited it just was on the slide. Service was surly and unfriendly, our drinks were over 10 minutes coming after ordering, and we were in early and not many diners in at the time....We only had mains, I had Lasagne which had to be returned as it was cold, and my wife’s pizza was soggy in the middle. The food was so salty we couldn’t eat it, our plates were collected and no query as to why we had left the majority of our meals. We felt an inconvenience to them especially the waiter who seemed to be sulking, rather than a valued customer. That’s us finished with Florios I’m afraid. Used to be nice too.More
Dear Craig, We do welcome good feedback and bad ones too, but in order to be a constructive one we do ask customers to complain there and then no a year after, and it is also unfair to post it now as we cannot investigate...More
Been to Florios multiple times and I cannot stress this enough…. It is INCREDIBLE! Slowly working my way through the menu and everything has been so delicious! Always very busy and rightly so because the food is amazing! When you’re sat inside you’d have thought...your were in Italy! Do not miss a chance to visit this restaurant!More
Ordered calamari. Mushrooms. Pizza and carbonara. See photos. Food was top notch. Great atmosphere and lovely owner. Our go to Italian in this area.
Hailing from London, but with family based in Malton, I am a fairly regular visitor to the area, and the highlight of my trip is always in meal at Florios. I was fortunate enough to enjoy a superb meal on Monday 23rd. Whilst I have...tried many of the dishes on the menu, my favourite by far is the lobster ravioli. The presentation and taste of this dish is without parallel. I always find the staff to be friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant itself has a warm and inviting ambience. The prices are reasonable and the variety sufficiently broad to turn each trip into an adventure (if I can tear myself away from the lobster ravioli). I highly recommend this restaurant to both visitors and locals alike. Good job, well done!More
We stumbled into Malton the Saturday before Christmas and were surprised how busy it was. We decided to try Florio's. From the moment we walked in all staff were attentive and so hospitable. They squeezed us in and we enjoyed the most delicious and reasonably...priced meal. I had the lobster ravioli, my husband had the fillet steak stroganoff off the specials board - both fresh and and incredibly yummy! The manager clearly cares another about this little gem and knew the state of play with each table. Would highly recommend if you're in Malton!More
Returned yesterday after several great experiences. booked well in advance to take a client and his wife for a meal. But was left disappointed. The food was nice but not the usual standard and the staff were abrupt and actually said after our main coarse...sorry no desserts we've put them away!!!!! Disappointed!!!!More
DearPoul, I have no words to describe how sad and disappointed I am after seeing this. I am sorry that you had such an awful night, one thing is for sure though, we will get at the bottom of this and by the time you’ve...More
Short notice booking after a recommendation from a local. We were not disappointed! Best garlic bread pizza ever. Mains and pud were delicious. Generous portions, excellent service and great ambience.
Have been visiting this restaurant for a long time Felt very crammed in and the staff were all quite abrupt . Disappointed as always had good service and enjoyed the atmosphere. It felt very strained among the staff and the food wasn’t as it has...been previouslyMore
We called on spec on a Wednesday evening 6.30pm and we're very lucky that they could find us a table with the restaurant almost fully booked. No wonder, even on a Wednesday evening, because the food was superb but equally matched by the welcome and...service we received. A truly enjoyable experience and one that we will definitely repeat, but being sure to book in advance, next time we are in the area!More
My wife and I called in for a pizza at 5.30 and were surprised to find the restaurant almost full so early on a Wednesday evening, luckily they found us a table. After a wonderful sharing starter of mixed meats and focaccia, we both had...a Calzone pizza, our favourite, but have to report that these were the BEST we've ever had including pizzas enjoyed in Rome. I would recommend this lovely pizzeria to anyone seeking a real taste of Italy in North Yorkshire. We would love to visit again.More
We called in early, without a booking and were lucky enough to be able to eat here. Authentic Italian food prepared in the open-fronted kitchen in full view of the restaurant. Within about 30 minutes of opening, it was very busy, predominantly with locals, and...food was flying out of the kitchen. The prices are very reasonable, and there is an early bird limited menu Monday to Thursday, making it even more affordable. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, adding to the experience. We were so impressed by the quality and price, we booked and returned later in the week, and were not disappointed. It can be noisy, but only the joyful sound of people enjoying their meals. I would highly recommend Florio's, which has flourished since 1984.More
Went here last night, thank goodness we booked because it was BUSY! Nice surprise to see a happy hour menu for any pizza and pasta from a choice running all the way up until 9.30! The portions are very big, I had the pate and...the bread was home made it was to die for but I was stuffed. It's the best pate I've ever had so tasty. I then had lasagna which again the taste was amazing, a proper lasagna don't think I've had one that standard before and the portion again was big. Lovely polite staff and a nice feel to the restaurant. A must visit!More
Thanks for choosing to dine at florios and for the lovely review. Hopefully we’ll see you again.
We visited last night and it was not to its usual Standard The waiting staff could Do with some training when passing plates , rather than serve the person plates were passed down 10 People to the person whose dish it was which was a...bit awkward and not great for the person whose food it wasMore
Fabulous place! A real bit of Italy in this very English little town. First rate authentic Italian dishes served by friendly staff. A very happy place to sit with kids joyfully eating proper food. A bit noisy, yes but a happy noise from families plainly...having a great time. Very good value as well! Go and enjoy!More
