Located adjacent to the hotel I was staying in at National Harbor, this restaurant and ale house has an impressive selection of ale and beer. Happy hour oysters were decently priced. The menu is extensive and serving sizes are generous. Ask the bar staff and...More

The wife and I went for an early dinner after leaving the casino. It was a Sunday and there was no wait. The location of the restaurant is a great spot, right across the street from the waterfront. Our waitress was very nice. We ordered...More

We enjoyed a quiet, late lunch at Walrus Oyster and Ale House in May 2018. The crab cake sandwich was very good (it is in Maryland, a minimum requirement for me) and came with a container of nicely browned French fries. My husband had the...More

Sweet Jesus oysters are great! All of the sweet variety oysters were very fresh and delicious. Calamari and dipping sauce was amazing but other than that just ehh. Bloody Mary wasn’t spicy and had a 6ft long boring piece of celery in it, was expecting...More

The place tries to be hip, but the service is mediocre. The food was ok, but staff was not attentive or interested in providing authentic customer service. I would not return.

Atmosphere, service, and drinks were excellent. I heard that the chicken wings were delicious as well. The calamari was good. But, they use a cornmeal base. This impacts taste (bland). The children’s menu was overpriced ($10) and 2 of our kids ordered the shrimp, took...More

Located at National Harbor The Walrus Oyster & Ale House prides itself on serving the finest domestic seafood and freshly shucked oysters available. Moderately priced and casual in approach, guests enjoy spectacular views of the Potomac River and Old Town Alexandria from the heart of the National Harbor. The name, The Walrus Oyster & Ale House, is inspired by the Lewis Carroll poem The Walrus and The Carpenter. "O, Oysters, said the Carpenter, You've had a pleasant run! Shall we be trotting home again? But answer came there none And this was scarcely odd, because They'd eaten every one." - Lewis Carroll
