This for certain is one of Gozo's hidden gems. Not easy to find, but worth a visit once you're in Gozo. We were there last Friday, for our 2nd or 3rd visit. We had fish soup (Aljotta) for starters, and my wife had lamb shank while I had beef fillet with mushroom sauce as a main. The food was very... More

Our first time here was pretty average, but we decided to give it a 2nd chance, but it wasn't any better. The decor of the restaurant is really nice and it would have been cosy if it hadn't been so cold. We asked for some form of heating, but every time they put the A/C on heat the electric tripped.... I have been driving past, and meaning to dine here for years.... Last night, friends of mine invited me to a B&B in Qala that also has a restaurant, so finally I was eating here, and it was a really nice evening. Seated at the large table in a warm, farmhouse dining room, we had good service from 2 professional... More

Ate in the courtyard at Il-Wileg this evening and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I ordered the Oriental coconut curry with prawns which was delicious. My husband ordered the pork with coriander which he also thoroughly enjoyed. This is a charming restaurant with delightful staff.

We stayed here for two weeks, whilst on holiday in Gozo. If you want 5 star accommodation don't stay here, but if you like a quaint, rustic environment then this will be for you. The rooms are thoughtfully decorated and have everything you need, hair dryer and toiletries are supplied. There is a good selection for breakfast, cereal, fresh fruit,... More

Il Wileg is a wonderful BB in Qala on the Maltese Island of Gozo. Beautiful setting in a restored farm house, feels like a private villa. The owner Martin is truly a wonderful host and nothing is too much trouble. The atmosphere is relaxing and tranquil , just the very place to unwind. The rooms are beautiful, well appointed and... Arranged with Martin (owner) for a birthday supper for my wife's 60th birthday and it was superb and the supper included a cake which was a great surprise for my wife. The food is excellent and cooked with passion. Martin is a very good host and the menu choice is very local for Gozo. We shall be returning on our... More

We had high expectations for this restaurant, because the ambience on the photos are nice, but we were very disappointed and came out hungry. The servings was very poor. The plate was served almost empty and the price sky high. The meat and the duck that we ordered was very little and not tender. The vegetables were very little. Certainly we... More

The service was the best we experienced during our 12-day stay in Malta. I had delicious Red Snapper and my Constant Companion had a deep sea fish which was also delicious. There are three restaurant right around the main church square in Qala. This one is a several block walk up the hill at the perimeter of the village right... More
