Fontana delle Pere is a restaurant we visited for the second time. And now we knew what to expect. No menu but a large number of dishes that follow pretty fast. Do not expect fancy food but everything is prepared perfectly. A wide range of...primi, pasta’s, vegetables and eventually well cooked meat and chicken. The wine they serve is all inclusive and pretty good.More

Place and staff are very warm and welcoming. Food is excellent and many things are from the farmhouse itself. There is not a menu a la carte, but there is a big variety of starters and you can have more of what you prefer.

If you're in the area, you should try this restaurant. Booking is very important as they get very busy. It's full of locals which tells you how good it is. There is no menu, so this is not good if you are vegetarian/gluten intolerant. But,...if you're not, it's fantastic. Red and white wine was on the table and bottled water. At around 8.30, the food starts arriving and it just keeps coming! Lots of antipasti, then a pasta course, then meat and salad and dessert. If you're lucky, you might get home made limoncello and grappa too. Nearly all the food is grown/reared right there. All of this for €25 a head too! Really friendly staff, although not much English is spoken, but this just adds to its charm. Brilliant!More

This is a great Agriturismo, well attended by Italians, always a good sign! The food is excellent and copious amounts of it! All local ingredients. The place itself could do with a bit of TLC, but it is definitely worth a visit. Massa Martana is...a lovely little town, only a short drive from Todi, but always a little bit cooler, as it's near the mountains.More

While attending a wedding locally, we visited this restaurant purely on the basis of TripAdvisor rating (#1) and we were not disappointed. There is no menu, wine and water greet you at your table and the family serve you as if you were their distant...cousins that they really wanted to look after. Each dish (and please don't ask how many they served, but there were a lot and not too many) was full of flavour and was served when they felt you were ready. I mean this as a total complement to this 'slow food' restaurant (apparently it's a reaction to the 'fast food' restaurants that blight the pleasure of eating) of which there are only a few in the region. They cater for meat eaters and vegetarians (myself being one) and it is an experience to behold if you are in the locality. Décor is very large family room, so no airs or graces in the surroundings, but again, this is the total charm of the place and you can dress up, or down, and still feel comfortable.More

This is a true Umbrian dining experience. The restaurant is filled with locals, there is no menu because what is served is based on what is locally grown and in season. The meal starts with a variety of crostini and bruschetta and assorted meats and...cheeses. Then comes the pasta...all homemade and then an assortment of grilled meats and dessert. The food is authentic, nonna is in the kitchen and most of the staff is related. It is a warm, wonderful, tasty experience you should not miss.More

This was the first time I had been to a restaurant in which you did not choose from a menu, but were served with a variety of Italian dishes ranging from breads, veges, pizza bites to pasta, meats and desserts. The cover was 25 euros...per person and that included all food and drink. Drink consisted of water, wine red or white plus liqueurs. The meal was excellent, the decor charming and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.More

We had dinner here last night with two other couples. This is an agriturismo where each day dinner is prepared with locally grown vegetables, meat from the region and homemade breads and pasta. No menu--the meal is pre-determined and brought course by course, served family-style....About half of the diners were locals. All the food was outstanding! We were served several types of crostini/bruschetti, including some topped with tomatoes and cheese, others with potatoes, cheese and onions; prosciutto, and salami. We also had focaccia, umbrian spaghetti with tomato sauce, pork (might have been pork belly), guinea fowl, and salad. As we completed each course, we were offered seconds. Finished off with fig cake, coffee, and they offered limoncello but we cried "uncle"! The waiter spoke almost no English, but when we were trying to determine what came after the pork (guinea fowl), local diners helped. All of this, and they only charged us 25€ per person and the waiter refused a tip!! So if this was not enough, we returned about 40 minutes later because we couldn't get into the castle tower we were renting. They tried to help us locate the person representing the property, and when they didn't work, our waiter and 8 or 9 local diners, including grandparents, parents and a 3-year-old boy followed us back to the lodging and tried to work the key. When this failed, the waiter and another scaled the walls, trying to see if they could get into one of the windows. Okay, nothing worked, so we returned to the restaurant, also a B & B, and were offered rooms for just 50€ for the night.More

My partner and I booked a table for sunday lunch. We had no idea what the food would be as there were no menu's online or in the restaurant. We arrived an hour early (miscommunication on the phone!) however the staff were extremely polite and...attentive. We were offered wine (red and white!) and water, all unlimited. There was sundried tomato bruschetta, onion bruschetta, a potato and tomato salad, cured meats with warm rosemary focaccia, pasta pomodoro, baked chicken and baked lamb with salad, an almond and peach cake and an espresso to finish! All of this came to only 50euros for the both of us. They even came round with second helpings of pasta and meat which was leftover which made it feel homely. Extremely delicious and hearty traditional Italian food, Would definitely recommend booking as they're very popular with the locals.More

When been to Sunday lunch twice at Fontana delle Pere and have really enjoyed both times. First time a party of 5 and second time a party of 7. It is not gourmet style food, but genuine Italien and VERY tasty and plenty of it....Produce direct from the farm and garden. The people running the place are VERY friendly and the atmosphere is great and 'homey'. Extremely good value value at €24 which include vine (white and red) and water ad libitum plus coffe. If I lived close by I would most definitely be a regular. We dont speak any Italien, but you can book by e-mail. Advisable as it is very popular with the locals. Visited the place July 2013 and 2014.More
