Good, honest, unpretentious pub food :) There’s a good menu and a good choice of beers/ciders. What’s not to like. A really lovely local pub with a friendly welcome.

We were a little apprehensive having read the TripAdvisor reviews but after checking it out over a pint two days before we decided to book. Glad we did. The place is spotless, the staff welcoming and the food is really great. Anyone giving a bad...review should be banned from any eating establishment because they obviously have not got a clue.More

we stayed nearby and ate both nights at this pub. I can honestly say i have never met a more easy going likeable bunch of people that loved chatting and making sure you had a good time. We stayed a sunday which meant we were...there for the fated England/ italy match being welsh i shall leave you to choose who we supported lol😆 anyhoo the owner owns an indian and and we ordered it for half time to be delivered at the pub. What a different experience and so lovely! the food was delicious the atmosphere was better than the penalty shoot out!! Thank you everyone for your hospitality you made our weekend and will be sure to visit when we are in the neighbourhood.More

Just arrived in Stratford on Avon, got advised to visit The Boars Head in Hampton Lucy. Was met by nice friendly staff, lovely old world village pub. Great atmosphere. Although there was a limited menu ( powercut in the village a couple of days previous)....The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Nice people, well worth a visit. Stan& Sandra, SaS.More

We’ve been visiting charlecote for 10 years always stay in a holiday letting which we love and always go to the boars head for roast dinner, we where a tad apprehensive as we haven’t been for 2 years and due to COVID wasn’t sure if...it may have changed hands since we last went. Definately wasn’t disappointed we had a lovely roast dinner, food really good, service lovely, everything same as we remember. Definately be back 👍More

Thank you Tracy, so glad you enjoyed even with Covid rules in place, and we had no apple sauce. 😩 We are the same people and are really pleased that you enjoy coming here. We look forward to seeing you on your next visit. X

After a day out at a national trust site we decided to try the boars head for a family meal. We were very disappointed to say the least, we ordered the same time as our friends expecting to eat together (4 adults 2 children) but...our meal came 50 minutes later. After questioning this the response from the waitress was there was a mix up with tables. I could've understood this if the pub was busy but it wasn't. When our food eventually arrived we were both disappointed. We both ordered the haddock and chips, the fish was very greasy and our sons beef burger was very bland and also very greasy. We didn't get asked "how was your food" which I guess speaks volumes. Needless to say it was our 1st meal and definitely our last at the boars head.More

Stopped off on way home for a Pint and Fish & Chips, glad we did! Friendly welcome, nice range of Ales and a proper pub menu. Fish & Chips were very good, Haddock was delish! A well patronised locals pub, will go again....

We were directed here from another nearby pub which was closed, on the recommendation of the owners. The menu is fairly basic, standard pub food but even so, the meal we had was overpriced for what it was, and distinctly average. If you just want...a drink there was a good selection of real ale but I wouldn't eat here again.More
