Dropped in for a bacon sandwich and a coffee. Perfectly good. However, a couple of points. Menu stated, at the bottom of the last page, that only cash or cheques accepted. What is a cheque? Come on, it's the 21st century! I enjoyed the bacon on croissant with cheese and my wife had the bacon on oven bottom. Mine £4.95... More

As I live near to heath cafe I have visited a few times, although I can only visited when the weather is fine due to no dogs allowed in the cafe. The food is lovely but I feel on the expensive side, and you cannot be in too much of a hurry as the service is quite slow. The area... More

Visited with my husband and really enjoyed the afternoon tea. We haven't been in that area for a while but will return. Excellent selection of sandwiches and cakes. Scones still warm.

Called in late one Saturday morning December. Very busy as only a little place. One table free. I had a beautiful bacon sandwich filled with top quality bacon. My wife had the delicious home made victoria sponge. Lovely latte too. Great service from Julie and Carl. We will definitely be back. A wonderful little tea room.

This tea room is in a pretty cottage and in Summer there is seating in the garden too. The bacon sandwiches are always good and the home made cakes and scones are excellent. They now close on Monday and Tuesday and because the tea room is small they are sometimes booked for functions and so closed to other customers.

Emailed and was given a prompt and helpful reply. A table for five was booked for us to celebrate my mum's 91st B'day. We were given a warm welcome. All members of the family enjoyed their chosen lunch which were visually pleasing and flavoursome to eat. The environment and location was lovely. The birthday lady was very impressed and really... Located in the beautiful village of Heath, less than 2 miles from Wakefield City Centre and the Hepworth Museum. This picturesque 18th century cottage provides perfect surroundings for a quaint yet stylish English Tea Room. White linen table clothes offset the bright cotton napkins, both of which compliment the white bone china. You can choose from homemade soups, sandwiches, light lunches and cakes. Taylor's of Harrogate provide their Tea Room Blend to make the perfect cup of tea and the coffee served is made with freshly ground Columbian beans. In the summer there is seating in the pleasant cottage garden where you will be served to the same high standard of fayre as in the Tea Room; or you can simply sit and enjoy one of more than nine Yorkshire Dales ice cream flavours available. Whatever you choose you will not be disappointed. If after your visit, you feel the need to walk off the calories you can enjoy a stroll around the Common or go further afield to Bluebell woods.
