We met Mike and his friend at the ferry from Mindoro island, had a chat about Busuanga island and soon after we´re sure where to stay. Mike and his wife Ann offer not only great meals from morning to night, but very cozy and super...clean accomodation with air con as well. Mike and Ann are so welcoming and friendly with many tips on trips around. Don´t stay at Coron town, it´s awful with crowds of people. Conception, where Mike and Ann´s place is located, is only about 20 km far from there. Get there! In 10 mins away by walking from their place is a beautiful waterfall. And if you´re divers, Mike can arrange a trip with experienced diving school (D Divers) who take you on wreck diving. Moreover, Mike arranged for us a private island hopping with snorkelling on the way which was so amazing! No people around us on the beach, just four of us and our crew on island.😊More
We arrive in conception and went straight to ann and mike place !! Very good place to chill !! Ann is so sweet and welcoming you !!! Mike give you a lot of advice, I even borrow is motorbike to go check a dive shop...( d divers ) 3 km away !!! All the staff are friendly !!! The food is the best of the best in the village !!! My boyfriend and I have just returned from our island hopping trip in the Philippines. We stumbled across Ann & Mike’s bar one day and had the pleasure of meeting Rachelina. Rachelina organized our entire boat trip, packed lunch, snorkels, drinks and even an ice...box for the boat. This place rocks! One of the best tuna curries I have ever had, very cheap and nice staff! Location is great, just opposite the Pirates Concepcion Dive Center! Open till 20.00, Concepcion is slow, mostly a scuba-only destination.
As a vegetarian i have struggled to find a tasty meal as most times fried vegetables or omelette have been my options . At Ann and Mikes i had vegetable curry and it was absolutely lovely . Tasty spicy and lots of it . My...husband had chicken curry and that was also delicious . Gets our seal of approval 100%.More
What a wonderful six days Ann and her family provided for us. At no time did it feel like staying in a strange place, it was more like visiting distant relatives. We were three families that took over all 5 rooms with another family accommodated...just up the road. Our kids played with Ann’s and her nieces in a safe and happy environment. They catered for our every whim, even cooking new meals not on the menu. Lyn, the Sister, was a master of keeping track of the bills and ensuring all requests were met. Rick Rick, the Brother captained one of the boats that took us to far flung tropical islands and snorkeling spots. The food was fresh and flavour some, the accommodation spotless, the fun levels high and the departure tinged with sadness. A wonderful spot for a quiet stay in Concepcion and to explore the islands.More
Nice and simple food! Very good egg and bacon and the grilled fish was also quite nice. The place is cosy and for concepcion I’d say it’s probably the best dining option (together with Bistro).
The food and the stuff here are really nice. Also the Owner Ann is really helpful and can give you a lot of recommendations around Busuanga Island. I can decently recommend the burgers and the fresh calamansi juice.
