Great food at a good price with a view of the Grand River. They have seating for large groups outside. Check their schedule, SADLY, not open early week or late season

Have visited here a few times and every time the food is really nice. The staff are very polite and friendly. They have indoor and patio both.... views from both sections are nice with river view and boats passing by frequently. They do have quite a few options for food but we always order their speciality which is seafood. *... More

Excellent, Excellent, as in my title, the view is fantastic, but now I will mention the food, Excellent. Been twice and first time I had the fishermans selection, couldn't eat it all. Second time had the perch dinner, cooked perfect , quickly and the wait staff made sure we were Happy throughout the meal. Unbeatable value for the dollar, Very... More

We had no reservations and it was very busy but being able to have a drink and watch the boats go by made the time go quicker. Servers were great and the food was excellent and very reasonably prices. Save room for the Sticky Pudding!

Great spot. Wonderful, friendly service. Food was well made, tasty and generous proportions. My only complaint. Four visits and I would run out of choices. Fish is the primary offering. Breaded (I think Panko.Note, I think) and deep fried. I find that delicate fish like Perch and Walleye lend themselves more to lighter coatings. Would one serve a nice piece... More

we can't wait until season starts at Thirsty mates, different fish choices and views of the grand river to boot. Everyone we have invited to join us - keeps going back with more people.

After having spent the day at the beach we were looking forward to some local fare and we lucked into the Thirsty Mate just outside of Dunnville. While the staff was trying to come up to speed with this the official holiday weekend opening and all of the tables being filled, the kitchen more than made up for the wait... More
