We had ordered from the market stall but ended up inside the restaurant to shelter from one of the regular evening storms during this time of the year. The food was generous in portion size & tasty in flavour. Most meals averaged around 15,000 kip. A great local alternative which is cheap in comparison to other "western" restaurants that serve Laos food.

Located right on the market square right in the center of town. At night they will serve also in the market, look for tables with menus on them about in the center of the market. Reasonable Thai style dishes and excellent shakes. Plate of noodles, shake, and small bottle of water B110. Excellent shakes but not every kind is available everyday. Can pay with Thai baht.

Cooked freshly, our food was delivered in record time and tasted great. We had 5 people and ordered a variety of noodle dishes with either beef or chicken. Great value and great to experience the local way of eating, this restaurant is aimed at locals rather than tourists, although of course in Lao style, everyone is welcome. The yellow noodle soup was great, and I could not finish all as combined with a fruit smoothie, it was very filling.

This place was absolutely delicious and incredibly cheap . Fresh fruit smoothies for only 6000 Kip and a very good portion of a wide array of Laotian dishes for 15000 Kip. Everything really hit the spot and if you are on a budget it is the best in town for sure! Also very friendly staff is a wonderful touch!

After a very long day crossing the border from Lao Bao, Vietnam, and the long, bumpy ride getting to Savannakhet, we were so happy to find the night market. And especially pleased that we randomly chose to sit at the table in front of this restaurant. We ate there every night. The shakes were delicious, huge and if I remember correctly, 6000 kip. There were vegetarian options. . .the pad Thai was so tasty. Very large portions at 15,000 kip. Cold beer.

Large portions of really good Thai & laos dishes for $1.80 (15,000 kip) & unlike most budget restaurants in Laos they didn't scrimp on the meat.
Pad thai with chicken was bursting with flavours & minced pork & basil over rice the best I've had outside of Thailand.
When you see hoards of locals arriving to collect take away meals you know it's a good find.
Service is as fast as it can be but between the sit down customers & the take aways ordered it can take a bit of time for your meal to arrive. Just enjoy a delicious 75 cent fruit shake or $1.25 big Beerlaos whilst your waiting.

The location is amazing, being the center of lovely square in town.
The food is really autenthic and delicious, served in a traditional way, which means with soup and banana added to what your order. The prices are low and the lady is very nice and friendly.

Eat cheap and quick food, whilst the family watches TV in the same room on a stand surrounded by their Buddhist shrine.

A nice friendly restaurant on the old square near the old church in Savannakhet. Great Pad Thai and Kow Phat. And fresh smoothies too!
