Not sure about the other food, but as a Maritimer, I can certainly vouch that the fish is great. Plates are very full, service is good, relaxing atmosphere and again, super good fish :) Definitely a stop you will need to make

While visiting from Australia we went on a short road trip with our son who is working in a YMCA camp near Canmore. We came upon Haywire Cafe while driving through town and thought it looked very interesting. We sat outside for lunch at a wooden table in the lovely sunshine in a casual setting and were served the most... More

We found the Haywire Cafe and Grill purely by chance while driving from Lethbridge to Calgary. What a find! The cafe has a pleasant, small-town, quaint appearance and a calm, welcoming ambience - ideal for a rest and a snack while traveling. Better still, the fish and chips are amazing! The Haywire uses red snapper for their fish which must... More

I have hesitated in publishing this review as I had a wonderful meal my first visit. I visited Haywire Cafe for a second time in August with slightly different results. I ordered the chicken breast with artichoke and sun dried tomatoes this occasion and was somewhat disappointed. The chicken breast was quite chewy, and for my taste, the added ingredients... More

This is a cute little place and very clean. The fish and chips are to die for. When they get busy, things take a little longer but it is worth it.

The service was great. The owner is cook. We had potato soup followed by fish and chips. The potato soup was mediocre. The fish great. Neat things to see. I think the cook is the artist of a lot of the paintings as well. Worth a stop.

Was an excellent place to eat at. We had the fish and chips and dessert. On Friday nights they have fish and you couldn't get any better red snapper. We met the owner and the waitress, had a great visit and got quite a bit of information about the area from the waitress. She was a delight.

This place was so nice. The staff and owner was friendly and made you feel like family. The food was wonderful! We had the pizza which was all made by the owners wife right down to the sauce and the crust was the best ever!! I loved looking out the large windows at the beautiful yard with hummingbird feeders at... More

We thought we would try it out rather than eat at the bar as it was next to our hotel. There is a good selection of food and everybody in our party was satisfied with their choices. The server was friendly and helpful. The apple pie which is done cinnamon bun style is incredible and by itself worth a trip... More
