In all my travels in central Asia, this is the restauthat most stands out in my memory.
There was a fantastic buzz about the place with great live music and good food.
There's lovely outdoor tables and booths as well as air conditioned interior ones
Wide and varied menu. I had a beef and onion dish and it was absolutely superb.
Beer on tap, loads of alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails, Georgian wine, lots of desserts, very quick service, very reasonable prices. Absolutely the best restaurant I went to, not just in Kyrgyzstan but the whole region. We all thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great place with delicious traditional cuisine. We ate a baked lamb head and really liked it: tender meat that melted in your mouth, the waiter cut the dish and explained how to eat it. We also ate Ashlyan Fu soup and vegetable salad - everything was very tasty. In addition to traditional cuisine, there is European cuisine, so everyone can choose according to their taste! We recommend it to everyone

We got here around 4 p.m., the terrace was all occupied, and inside too, the restaurant was half full.
The waiters are nice, rushed.
Portions are very large, delicious and full.
We were hungry and overestimated our strength: we ordered one cold soup for two. Karakol ashlyamfa (gorgeous), crispy eggplant (super), a portion of fried mantas and an adana kebab.

I came from afar and had lunch there specifically and ordered 7 servings of food for home since there were guests at home. Not just one, but 7 servings. We arrived home and gave everyone a portion and bam the ingredients were missing. Namely those that give this dish its taste. Soooo angry and called Dastorcon. And so the admin responded harshly and rudely and told me to buy the ingredients elsewhere. She answered so rudely. And she said sorry. It was terrible. Without these ingredients it is not food. Now I'll never go there again. I still have bad impressions. I recommend another restaurant.

disguise this restaurant took 4 of us in for dinner , we were seated at a very beautiful dining area , service was top notch and attentive here , waitress spoke English very well . We had sea buckthorn (first time in my life ) for drinks as it taste tangy . The rest of the dishes was yummy 😋 first time in my life I had horse meat and it taste gamey . Overall contented and happy 😊

I was looking for a place to have lunch and I came across this blog recommending this cafe. It was a short walk for me so I decided to check it out since I also wanted to try some authentic kyrgyz food. I was greeted immediately by a girl who can speak English out of the door. The decoration inside is really pretty. I tried the Ashlyan-fu which is the specialty in Karakol. My waitress, Kasiet, speaks really well English, and doesn’t hesitate to recommend for me what dish to take, unlike the experience I had in Bishkek, people was avoiding me because I speak only English. She also totally understands that I can’t do any spicy and when I ordered a double shot of rum for my mojito. Wonderful service. Excellent food. It’s a bit of a walk out of the center but I promise it’s totally worth it. I would definitely come back for more meals. Highly recommended.

This cafe was recommended to us by the owner of the hotel where we stayed in Karakol. We didn’t regret it at all: very tasty lamb shish kebab and ribs, horse meat soup, salad, signature tea. Perhaps, during our entire week of travel around Kyrgyzstan, this was the most delicious cuisine!

We were here as a group. It's a highly recommended place, and ambiance was good.
Food tasted good as well, but service was messy. Took forever to serve the food and veg and non veg were mixed and there was no instructions. We had given clear menu details ahead and seated as vegetarian and non Vegetarians , but confusion prevailed. Was unfortunate for us. Food was sumptuous and tasty, but a few dishes were missed being served as well. Maybe one of their understaffed days.

Dastorkon offers an incredible cuisine and a very professional service (special thanks to Begimay, who was serving us during our visit). Although I have never eaten badly in Kyrgyzstan, at Dastorkon all meals are prepared in a tastier and more flavoured way. The outstanding dining experience is rounded up with a professional service, which is not an everyday experience (there are no schools or professional training for waiters in Kyrgyzstan).

Excellent ethno cafe "Dastorkon"!!! I definitely recommend everyone to visit this establishment! Since I live in Moscow, I don’t visit my homeland very often, so I don’t know much about cafes and restaurants where I can have a delicious meal and sit comfortably! But this summer, on the advice of my friends and family, I visited this establishment. I was very pleased, it’s so clean, cozy and spacious, but I just can’t say anything about the interior!!! The food is delicious, the dishes are clean, the service is excellent!!! I’m simply delighted with this establishment that we visited often this summer! We will definitely come here to Dastorcon when we come to our native land!!!

Amazing food - we tried and loved all the local dishes from langan to manti to shashlik and some delicious salads too. Staff were so friendly and helpful - in English too. Loved the decor inspired by the local culture that changed in different areas of the restaurant. Can't recommend this restaurant highly enough - we ate there three out of four nights!

Nice cosy restaurant. We tried all the meats used for 'shaslik' and it was very tasty. Also the staff were very polite and helped us to order what we wanted and explained tiniest details of the kyrgyz cuisine. We can only recommend and we were group of five friends from all over the Europe.

We went there as we were told this is the best restaurant in town. Yes, a good choice. The service was very fast and welcoming, the food was ok. We agreed we had a better lagman at other places and the juice was much too sweet. But salad, meat and ashlan-fu were delicious! There was a group of around 15 russians, playing harmonica and singing loud - that was a bit annoying and we wondered why the staff didn’t say anything, especially as it obviously kept new guest away from having dinner. But overall, nice experience!

“We visited the Dastorkon restaurant with friends and were very pleased! The national dishes are simply amazing - beshbarmak exceeded all expectations, and pilaf was a real discovery for us! I would also like to mention the signature teas - they perfectly complemented the taste of the dishes and created an atmosphere of coziness and comfort. Service top notch, staff very attentive and friendly. Will definitely come back again!"

About 4-6 vegetarian options besides the salads. The Lagman were excellent and they made the noodles spicy by request. The local draft beer was great. The quesadillas had some local cheese and didn’t work out as well.
