Generous serving. Amazing Food. Good ambience. Clean and cozy. Their chili paste is so good that we have to ask them for an extra take away which they happily gave us for free. :)

Obviously the most popular restaurant in Karakol, because the place was packed. Really friendly service and very good meal.

Dastorkon offers an incredible cuisine and a very professional service (special thanks to Begimay, who was serving us during our visit). Although I have never eaten badly in Kyrgyzstan, at Dastorkon all meals are prepared in a tastier and more flavoured way. The outstanding dining...experience is rounded up with a professional service, which is not an everyday experience (there are no schools or professional training for waiters in Kyrgyzstan).More

We went there as we were told this is the best restaurant in town. Yes, a good choice. The service was very fast and welcoming, the food was ok. We agreed we had a better lagman at other places and the juice was much too...sweet. But salad, meat and ashlan-fu were delicious! There was a group of around 15 russians, playing harmonica and singing loud - that was a bit annoying and we wondered why the staff didn’t say anything, especially as it obviously kept new guest away from having dinner. But overall, nice experience!More

Arriving at the restaurant, the waitresses greeted me with big smiles and announced that the other guests were already waiting for me in the further hall! I was very surprised who could wait for me here, because I had come to Karakol alone. Upon entering...the further hall, I didn't notice any familiar faces and asked who was waiting for me here. That was followed by the laughter of those sitting there and the explanation that the staff had confused me with another guest. Unfortunately, I also couldn't figure out who my double was.More

Nice cosy restaurant. We tried all the meats used for 'shaslik' and it was very tasty. Also the staff were very polite and helped us to order what we wanted and explained tiniest details of the kyrgyz cuisine. We can only recommend and we were...group of five friends from all over the Europe.More

The name of this restaurant was different, ethnic mandarina, may be owner and team changed. I hope so, because the food wasn't not good at all, and this restaurant doesn't deserve its good reviews. Very very cheap

About 4-6 vegetarian options besides the salads. The Lagman were excellent and they made the noodles spicy by request. The local draft beer was great. The quesadillas had some local cheese and didn’t work out as well.

I have visitied Karakol last August. While staying at guesthouse I asked about the nice and pleasant place to have a meal. I was surprised when almost everyone mentioned "Dastorkon" cafe. So I decided to visit the place. It turned out to be very nice...place, but most of all the meal was excellent. I really enjoyed some local food: Lagman and Kurdak, if I am not mistaken. The prices are quite reasonable.More

Disappointing. Ribeye steak that neither was a ribeye steak nor tasted like one and heavily overpriced special tea.

Good food & service. Had the grilled chicken & veg (you crave chicken after being in Kyrgyzstan for a while!). The staff spoke perfect English which was helpful. There were also a number of signs on their poster board for excursions, drivers etc so I’m...sure this would be a good resource if you need to book anything.More
