We ate there practically every night, the portions are generous and the staff really nice. We got to know some of them and really appreciated their company. They made sure to put the mosquito coil near me when they saw how much i attract mosquitoes....We ate mostly indian food and it was delicious. You can ask for boneless chicken (there is a supplement) and less spicy if you're not used to chili. It will still remain spicy though. We also tried the bamigoreng which was good but i think not authentic? but then again we never had authentic bamigoreng so.. Oh and the tuna lion was frozen but tasted so fresh with the salsa and all. We really enjoyed eating there, the price was cheap for european standards. The only problem was the lack of light in some places but it was ok, you get used to it.More
The best value restaurant in Addu. Huge menu, relatively well executed, credit cards accepted. Convenient location. Not upscale dining, but tasty sustenance nonetheless.
We have been at the palm village three times for lunch. The food is fresh made and very tasty. Locals and tourist are having food at that place which showed us that it is accepted by both parties. The staff is friendly and helpful. The...price of a dish is very reasonable!More
I recently was on my first trip to addu, and got to spend a few weeks there and palm hotel was my home for the stay. I love the location of the hotel. You can get all you need just around the corner. It’s on...the main road, so it’s always easy to get a taxi. The view from the balcony is great, and there’s always the breeze from the sea. I usually find myself starring at the middle of the atoll from my balcony. The view is just superb. Let’s talk about food. There’s one on each side. I mean food places. You can find palm’s own restaurant to the side of the hotel, and another place on the next. I’m a die hard fan of Indian food, ans that’s what I liked most from palm village. Their lava cake is also a must try. Overall, I have nothing that I’d have differently than the way it’s already is here. And I wont definitely stay elsewhere if I visit again . Love and gratitude to palm family.More
I came to addu city for one week and had to stay there a little over a month and was fortunate enough to have selected palm village as my stay for the duration of the trip. It was my first ever visit to addu city...and It was good to have a place I felt like home. The hotel is situated at the centre of the long stretch of islands and is situated on the link road, which is the busiest / happening road in addu city, . It's also the main road on which one would find all the important places, be it shops or restaurants . It's the best sunrise spot, and there's always the sea breeze from the balcony. I always started my mornings having a coffee at the balcony starring at the view outside , It's different everyday. I had my meals arranged from outside but ever since I tried my first meal from palm restaurant, I couldn't resist myself but eat from there. The restaurant is right next to the hotel. The food is spectacular and is comparatively very cheap. I'm an absolute fan of their Indian delicacies . And their palm special rice is a must try. I would totally recommend palm hotel to everyone. I bragged a lot about the place every time my friends and family called. And I'm definitely staying here on my next trip. Still have a lot of places to be from addu city so I hope to visit addu soon. And palm hotel sure made my trip a lot more memorableMore
Most probably the best restaurant in Addu City. Location, the simple look and the privacy, most importantly the food as well as the service is first class. Keep it up Riya !
Have been to Addu almost a week for diving and went to this restaurant most of evenings. Pricing was surprisingly affordable, the food selection was more than enough and super tasty food we had. Just first time the tuna steak was more than well-done. Next...time we asked the cook to make it rare to medium rare and was fantastic. Of course, it was no wine or beer as this is regular local restaurant without alcohol license. In short - the food was much better and waaay cheaper than around Male or even Fuvahmulah.More
Back diving with Aquaventure (top) and dining at Palm Village. Cuisine and choice still great, service relaxed and friendly. Love the place.
Fantastic range of local and international dishes and a very friendly team. Open from breakfast till after midnight. try mas huni for breakfast, a local dish of coconut, tuna, lime, onion and chilli served with chapati (roshi) . Mains around £4/5.
Very good indian food and a very friendly staff. We would definitely eat there again if we ever come back to addu atoll.
We had most of our meals at Palm Village during our 5 day dive trip. The staff was courteous, happy to oblige with requests (vegan etc) and the food was delicious! Since there are divers coming to the restaurant as part of a package, perhaps...the restaurant can plan for pre orders especially for breakfast and lunch breaks that are short. And always nice to have more vegetarian options!More
Service will be very slow if you’re visiting at a Peak hour. It’s only available decent restaurant in this region. Service is very poor. When we ordered main food it didn’t taste enough so we requested some chilly paste. And the waiter just took it...out chilly paste before we finish our meal because another customer requested and we were in first floor therefore waiter have to go ground floor to get it again, instead he just took it from our table without asking even. It looks like service team needs a lot of training if they want to offer the same caliber as food.More
A friendly spot to take a break from exploring Addu City. A great selection of foods and very well prepared and very tasty. Also has free wifi so a definite bonus
Excellent restaurant with a large selection of dishes and friendly staff. Everything I tasted was delicious (I really fell in love with their Tikka Masala), plus they are preparing great juices.
