The #1 attraction here is the beach and lake view through wall to wall windows, or the deck in summer. This is not a deluxe dining experience - it's got a worn road house kind of vibe - funky but clean. All over the walls are signed promo shots of music acts from the 50s and 60s who used to... More

The pickerel was fantastic so were the fries. We loved the mashed potatoes with the red skins in but had to get the waitress to take them back as they were only lukewarm. She was great and brought them back piping hot. Food is reasonable and out in a fair amount of time. Good place if you enjoy perch or... More

I was just walking by and stopped in for a bite to eat. I sat by the front window overlooking the patio and lake, the view is amazing! My drink order was taken right away and the Virgin Ceaser was excellent. I had the ribs as main course which was also very good👍. All the staff were very professional and... More

We went to Port Dover for a day trip and had lunch here. The view of the beach and lake are first rate and our server was top notch. However, the food was "okay" at best, and the sandwiches we had (lobster/crab and Reuben) were recommended by the server as being very good. BTW - We're not "foodies" that proclaim... More

Came to Port Dover today because spring has arrived early and We wanted to open the cottage early, as always things took longer than expected so we ordered some take out from the beach house to keep working. When the kale salad arrived with smoked gorgonzola cheese perfectly cooked steak and onion rings over marinated tomatoes on a bed of... More

I am a resident of Port Dover and eat at The Beach House often. You get a good, basic meal for a fair price in a great setting, the best Dover can offer: a view of the beach. All year round the lake is a pleasure to view. My only complaint about this restaurant is the state of the carpet,... More

We went for a light lunch with out of town friends on Saturday. The service and meals were quite good . The view of the harbour and beach was a nice touch . The simple soup and salad was even better as it was French onion .

We have been there in the summer for some good meals. One of our friends made reservations in December and it was terrible. There didn't seem to be much heat on and you could feel wind coming in at the windows. The waitress didn't seem to care about our comfort ,she just wanted to take our orders. We wore our... More
