Our biker group 11 of us met for Sunday dinner at the Carriers Arms pub and restaurant East Bergholt Suffolk, we were greeted by the very friendly helpful staff , and the three hours of our stay was absolutely brilliant, the lovely staff, the excellent...food atmosphere and surroundings, absolutely faultless, will definitely be returning with my family or biker mates again, thoroughly recommended.More

Good old fashioned pub food. Not a bistro, just really tasty foods served with a pleasant smile. I had a steak and ale pie, with veg and chips. Good good. The service was also friendly and fast.More

Thank you very much for your review, much appreciated. You have described exactly what we set out to achieve - good old fashioned pub food. The steak and ale pie is a huge favourite and the chef probably makes 2-3 large pies each week to...More

Places that look inviting, are sometimes few and far between, but this pub not only looked good but was very good. Being a lovely day, we sat in the garden. A pleasant comfortable and, pretty space. Tables are well-spaced for privacy. Unlike some places where...tables are crammed in. A good varied menu and on order, great food that is reasonably priced. Two of our party had the Lamb Shanks, which was cooked to perfection. Me, being a creature of habit, had the Lasagne with Garlic Bread. Now, this is one dish that is either just OK or really good. When it was served, it looked a meager portion, but I soon found out that the dish was deeper than anticipated and filled me up very well. The herby taste gives it the 'thumbs up' for flavours. My opinion... it was Really Good. Would certainly visit again when next in the area.More

My partner and I were squeezed in at short notice on a dull bank holiday Monday. The pub was warm and welcoming. The staff were all friendly and cheerful. Our food arrived piping hot obviously freshly cooked and was delicious. The Stilton mash with the...pork belly was lovely. The pork belly was cooked to perfection. Overall the pub is exactly everything you want a proper English pub to be. We will be visiting again.More

We have visited this pub 3 times this week so far as we are holidaying in the area. Each time it has been so welcoming. The landlady is so friendly and even welcomes our barking dogs who think her beautiful garden now belongs to them!...The food is gorgeous, so much so my husband has 3 courses which he never does anywhere else. The lamb shank and Pork belly are definitely recommended. We will definitely be returning before we go home. Lovely placeMore
